Damon's POV (that's new xD)

Her smell filled my senses, her strong pulse, the beating of her heart, the smell of exotic blood right beneath me. My fangs were throbbing from the kind of hunger which caused pain, a tender soreness beckoning me to strike Jane like a cobra to sink my teeth into her pale skin.

My head was spinning, I've never wanted a girl this much before. I pushed her off of me slowly and turned around because I knew my face was changing.

"Damon? Are you okay?" I heard Jane ask.

"Yeah, I just thought you might be tired. I think we should get going." The lie slipped off my tongue as if it were water.

"Oh." It was all she said.

"I'll drive you home."

Jane's POV

I woke up to the annoying, abrupt sound of my alarm clock. I got up from my comfy, warm bed and answered the phone on my bed-side table. It was Elena, asking me how yesterday went and blah blah blah. I love Elena, really I do but she should know that I sleep in late by now. After she cut the line, I walked back to my bed, dragging my feet as if I were a zombie and fell face first on my matress. I was just about to drift off again when I heard a knock at the door.

"Ugh!" I sat up from my bed, fixed my short hair and walked to the front door opening it. Damon walked in.

"Why are you Ughing?" He laughed.

"How the hell did you hear me? I was in my bedroom with the door closed." I said, pointing to the door.

"Uh...I just know you so much, you know?" He smirked.

"If you knew me so much, you wouldn't come so early in the morning when you should know I'd be cranky!" I said, folding my arms over my chest. He came towards me and kissed my passionately on the lips.

"Am I forgiven?" He asked.

"Just for today." I whispered and kissed him again.

"So, watcha doin'?" He asked coming closer and taking the scrap book from my hand in one swift movement. I sighed and got up.

"You just do whatever you want don't you?" I joked again, going into the kitchen and placing my now empty mug into the sink.

'Part of the charm." He replied flipping through the pages.

"So, what's Stefan up to? I haven't seen him in a while."

"You know Stefan. Journaling. Reading. Shaping his hair." I rolled my eyes.

"I see you're back to the old Damon. Not jealous or romance gooey?" I laughed hitting him on the shoulder. He didn't seem to feel it or move even a little with the impact which was kind of odd.

"Yeah, nervous and sickly sweet boyfriend just doesn't do it for me. More of a Stefan type of ordeal and I'm more of a badass eternal stud you know."

"You really should be nicer to your brother, Damon but it's kinda good to have you back to your old, cocky, self-absorbed self." I laughed.

"Self-absorbed? That hurt Jane, right here." He said pouting whilst putting his hand over his heart. I rolled my eyes again, I seem to do that a lot around Damon.

"So why'd you come here? It's pouring outside." I asked, folding my arms over my chest.

"Do I need an excuse to come and see my beautiful girlfriend?" He put the book down gently on my side table and walked to me. He kissed me and ran his hands down to the small of my back and around my waist, and he rubbed his fingertips on my hips. I kissed him back. He broke the kiss.

“You like that?” He whispered smirking.

"Don't ruin the moment." I replied, placing my lips back on his. He picked me up and placed me on the kitchen counter as we continued to kiss. He kissed down my jaw line and then reached my neck when he instantly stopped, pushed my hands gently off of him and walked out to the living room. I called after him.

"Damon! Damon, please tell me what's going on. What happened?" he turned around and ran his fingers through his hair while he replied.

"Nothing, nothing at all" He sat down on the armchair, looking at the floor and held his head in his hands. He was trying to calm down.

"Damon seriously! What did I do? Do you think we were moving too fast? We were just kissing." I asked fraustrated.

"Trust me Jane, it wasn't that." He replied. "Well I better get going, I love you." He said and kissed me on the cheek and he grabbed his coat and walked out into the rain.
