MICHAEL'S POV
Everything else was forgotten except for the words Calum just spoke. It was too unreal for me and the way they were smiling a little too wide than usual. I thought this was some kind of sick prank. It'd be the sickest prank they've ever pulled on me.
I somehow sensed their happiness radiating off of their wide, toothy grins, but I could feel a different vibe coming from someone. I didn't know what it was or who it was coming from, I just knew it was an uneasy feeling.
"Look!" And then Ashton's phone was shoved in my face. An email sent by Liam, on behalf of One Direction, inviting us to open the Australian, New Zealand, British, Irish and North American legs of their Take Me Home tour. Modest! Management apparently agrees to invite us as an opening act. Every payment will be made by them to invite us on tour and what we require. It was a verified email address, meaning it was the real Liam Payne who emailed Ashton.
"So what happens now?" I asked.
"We pack up!" Luke said, with the widest grin.
I looked at all of them, and then turned to Ashley. She had a distant look in her eyes. It was like she was here, but she wasn't. "Hey," I reached out to wrap an arm around her. "Are you alright?"
"What? Huh?" She looked so confused. "No, no, I'm okay."
"Are you sure?" I asked, searching her eyes for honesty. However, I found none."
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" She smiled. There was something off about her.
"And we've been practicing and writing a lot." Calum said.
"We've written enough songs qualified to be on our first EP." I approved.
"EP?" Luke asked. "Like, episode? We're musicians, right? I didn't know we had to act."
Ashton facepalmed. "EP stands for Extended Play."
"Cool." I smiled. "Let's get right onto that and then we can sing that for or shows or something."
"Maybe, but what songs? That's the most important thing." Calum asked.
"Let's start now, then." I suggested.
"My place?" Ashton suggested. We nodded. "Come on!"
But Ashley didn't move.
----------------------------------ASHLEY'S POV
The boys chatted animatedly as they took such long, agonizing steps to our destination. I walked three to four tiles away from them, crossed my arms over my chest and fixated my gaze onto the ground I was stepping on. I skipped a step or two once in a while, careful not to step on a line or I'll break my mamma's spine.
"And imagine the large crowd watching us! One Direction's got such a huge, loyal and dedicated fans. An entire stadium would be food. Wembley Stadium, O2 Arena... Sold out tickets?! Damn!" Ashton spoke loudly.
"But that's scary. They'd all have their phones out, they'd record us. Our faces will be rival. Our music will be known worldwide. Doesn't that make your anxiety grow?" Luke said, an uneasy tone in his voice.
"Don't worry about it, Lucas. You'll get used to it before you know it." Calum reassured, placing a hand on his back in a friendly manner.
I sighed to myself, pulling out my phone and going into a game app. I hated this game so goddamn much but it's so addicting and I get so determined to finish the level but I can't and I hate it!
Color Switch.
Even the name makes me gag.
After 27 attempts at a certain level in a certain game mode, I decided it was enough and I wouldn't play the game ever again for the rest of my existence.
