EMILY'S POV
"Wake up." I groaned, jumping on Ashley and shaking her roughly. She woke up and I sighed in relief. "Finally!"
"What?" She croaked. Her morning voice was raspy and hot.
"You've gotta go home. My parents are visiting for lunch." I said. She got up and rubbed her eyes. I pushed her towards the bathroom and she got in.
After an hour, she was ready to get home. I drove her home, laughing at everything she said because she was funny as hell.
Once we reached there, she sighed heavily. "I really don't wanna to go back in there. Just send me home."
She could've just got down and ran towards her home instead, but she wasn't so evil. And I adore that.
"It's for the best. Clear everything up." I gave her an encouraging smile.
"Ugh, fine. But if I call you tonight and I'm a sobbing mess or an angry asshole, remember that it's your fault." She pointed a finger at me.
"I will. Just go!" I said, using my hands to usher her away. "Hurry!"
"Okay, okay! Sheesh!" She ran out and knocked on the door. She turned and gave me a panicked and worried look, realizing it's too late to turn back. The door opened and revealed Ashton. "We need to talk."
I heard her say. Ashton nodded and stepped aside for her to come in. He shut the door after that, and she disappeared from sight.
I sighed to myself. It go either go so wrong or so right. I started the car again and drove away. In a traffic jam, I texted her.
To: Ashley Panini
At least enjoy it while it lasts
I shook my head and laughed at myself. Getting feelings for your friends was normal.
...Right?

ASHLEY'S POV
I let out a breath. Finally home.
"Hey, mum." I said once I saw her. She dropped the plate and cloth noisily on the kitchen counter and ran towards me. She hugged me so tight, it wasn't even hugging anymore. It was suffocating. "Mum, I've only gone for two days-"
"Without telling me!" She quickly let go of me to stare at me with her eyes shooting daggers at me. "I am your mother! Where have you ben for 48 hours that didn't even make you think of the person who gave you life in the first place?!"
"I went to Ashton's yesterday to go for an Acoustic Hangout. On that night, Emily picked me up for a night out. Then I fell asleep at her place. She woke me up and sent me back here. I'm sorry I didn't tell you, everything was hectic." I quickly rambled.
"It's okay, hun. As long as you're okay now." She said. "Go to your room. Clean it, whatever. I'm cooking lunch."
"Okay." I chuckled, running to my room. I plopped onto my bed and shut my eyes. I sniffed the scent of home.

I moaned, Emily sucking a hickey on my neck.
"Ah, Em!" I said aloud. She hummed against my skin.
"Sh, we don't want your mother to walk in on us." She said, smashing her lips against mine.
MICHAEL'S POV
"Hello, Mrs. Frangipane." I said as she opened the door.
"Oh, call me Hannah." She smiled friendly. She eyed the single yellow rose in my hand. "For Ashley?"
I nodded and felt warmth come to my cheeks.
"She's upstairs." She smiled. She stepped aside and gestured for me to come inside. I walked in and felt nervous. I needed to get things right. She came home yesterday, she should've found the note.
I walked to her door. I heard intense shuffling going on inside. I grew worried. I knocked on her door but she didn't answer. I heard a groan and a whimper. I was afraid something was happening. I apologized for intruding her privacy in my heart, but then I opened the door. I was frozen in place.
She was hovering above a half naked Emily. She was kissing down her stomach and had her fingers latched onto her underwear. I opened the door and the doorknob hit the wall, causing them to stop and look at me.
"Michael?! Get out! Oh my God." Ashley said, standing up and marching over to me. Emily rushed to cover herself.
"Sorry." I said through my sobs. I swallowed back the tears. My voice cracked pretty bad as I said that. I quickly grabbed the note and ran off. I broke down halfway down the hallway. I stopped at the top of the stairs to recollect myself. I threw the rose onto the floor and stomped on it until the petals were completely crushed, like my heart. I sniffled and ran downstairs.
I ran flush into her mother. "Oh, sorry." I apologized again, heading straight for the door.
"No, Michael?" She called politely. I turned arounf to look at her. She had a face of complete and utter worry as she walked closer to me. She hugged me and rubbed my back slowly. "What happened?"
"Oh. Sh-she was c-ch-changing." I lied, choking back my sobs. I lightly got out of her arms and walked out the door.
"Maybe give her some time to figure herself out? She'll come back to you if what you two have is real. I promise you. Ashley isn't what she used to be, and I don't think she'll be this way any longer. She's rediscovering herself." She nodded softly. I ignored her and stormed out, slamming the door as hard as I can on the way.
I can't belive it. And I won't.
I'm not going to be the kind to be a fool and wait and wait and wait for her. And you know what I'm gonna do?
Fight fire with fire.
