"If you have someone like Nathan in your life, being deeply into him is a given."
- Peri

I reached over to my nightstand, in order to turn off the light. It was around eleven at night, and if I didn't go to sleep now, then I'd be dead in the morning.

As soon as I was surrounded by the darkness, there was a knock on my door. I blinked a few times, wondering if it was just all in my head, but before I could reply, it opened.

"Peri?" A voice called, "Are you awake?"

I could tell that it was Nathan's voice, so I sighed. "Yeah, what's up?" Turning on the light, I tried to locate him. He stood at my door and when I replied back, Nathan made his way to my bed.

"Couldn't sleep." He chuckled.

It was all happening too fast, him smoothly sliding beside me. We both laid there, my heart beating out of my chest. We sat there for a few minutes, our breathing patterns syncing perfectly.

I felt something heavy make contact with my waist, and I realized that Nathan had wrapped one of his arms around it. I stopped breathing for a second but resumed when he chuckled slightly.

"Is everything okay?" He asked, probably knowing exactly what his touch was doing to me. I didn't say anything, I wasn't giving him any satisfaction.

"Is it okay if I hold you like this?" Nathan began to rub my right hip with his thumb, swiping it back and forth. He knew that I was extremely ticklish, but that wasn't the reason why I squirmed so hard.

I could feel his lips lightly brushing my neck, and that was the reason why. That's where my 'sweet spot' was located. It's horrible having one that happens to expand over such a wide area.

And right now, he was teasing it. "No?"

I tightly clamped my eyes shut, hoping that this was a dream. Nathan wasn't here right now, and he wasn't pecking my neck. Since this was all just a dream, having a little fun wouldn't hurt. Right?

With all of my power, I turned onto my other side, nearly locking lips with Nathan. He was alarmed, and then his face faded like he always knew that I'd come around. With one leg thrown over his waist, I was completely atop of his body.

He tensed between my legs, for a reason that I couldn't put my finger on. Instead of questioning it, I gave him a few quick kisses leading up to his mouth.

As soon as our lips connected, Nathan's hand trailed up my body, and wrapped around the back of my head. That way, he could push me further down into the kiss. I didn't really have a problem with it, we wanted the same thing.

And that's how I was for sure that these past five minutes were all apart of my dream.

In the morning, I couldn't help but feel the other half of my bed to see if it was empty. I kept telling myself if it was, and it was, the dream was just too good to be true. I used the same hand to rub my face and get my hair in order.

"Why does morning have to be so early." I whisper to myself, before swinging my feet over and getting used to being on them. I dragged myself to Nathan's room and when I peeked inside, he was sound asleep, tangled together with his girlfriend.

I lightly closed the door, knowing that both of them are very light sleepers. Found that out the hard way, by coming into the house late one night and later being bombarded by the both of them who I'd woken up.

The bathroom wasn't too far away, so I was getting ready in no time. I loved being the only one awake in the morning because that meant that there weren't any lines to wait in.

After I freshened up and everything, I quickly pulled on some cotton shorts and went downstairs for breakfast. My mother went shopping a few days ago, and food around here doesn't go quick.

Nathan usually eats out with Penelope, or not at all. My mom and dad cook for each other, and I eat whatever frozen meals they've stocked up on.

"Is that you, Peri?" Nathan asked, coming down the steps slowly. I turned around, and was almost instantly brought to my knees.

Sex hair, Nathan? Topless, Nathan? Sweatshorts, Nathan?

"Yeah, I'm in the kitchen." I decided to just keep my cool and not make a big deal out of it, even though mornings with him are one of the worst parts.

I could hear him walking into the kitchen, and my grip on the bag of bagels tightened. "Want one-"

"Ugh, my head is killing me." he interrupted, running his fingers through his hair a few times before resting them on his forehead. "No I'm fine."

Yeah, you are.

"Or pills, pills are ... nutritious." I correct - more to myself than anyone - and started my hunt for the pain killers. He cleared his throat a few times, until i started to hear soft pattering on the steps.

"Nathaniel." Penelope called, probably joining him at the island. I was in our closet, looking for the medication. Since they couldn't see me, my eyes rolled over a few times at everything she said.

Including the way she called him by his full name.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"A terrible headache...." His voice faded and I knew exactly why - they were kissing, as if it would solve all of his problems. I walked back into the kitchen and placed the bottle on the top.

I wasn't going to slam it because it wouldn't be necessary, she's already won. So I minded my business and stuffed my now room temperature bagels into the toaster.

"Hey Peri, what're you cooking?" She questioned, leaning against the counter. I held up the bagel bag before throwing it into the fridge.

"Cereal." I muttered, not knowing why I even interested her. I didn't, Penelope probably just didn't want to seem like Nathan wasn't her main interest. Even though he obviously is.

If you have someone like Nathan in your life, being deeply into him is a given.

My mom then came down the steps, looking like she just went through the worst night of her life. I know it's because of her job, and how much they have her working.

She has started to work during the night, just so she could be a day or two ahead. It's worth it to her because she loves it, and it's her passion. But not to me because I hate seeing her like this.

"Guys, I may seem like a broken record, but I promise you I can almost smell that promotion." She went into the fridge to get something to drink, her feet dragging along the tiles. "Just a few more nights of this..."

My bagel then popped up, so I grabbed it and spread the cream cheese on it as quickly as I could. The entire time, Penelope glared at me secretly, and not once did I meet her gaze. Simply because I'm used to it.

She can be quite the jealous person, anything'll spark her. But honestly, what does she have to be jealous of me for? Nathan's my brother, it's not like I have feelings for him right?

And even if I did, that wouldn't be entirely crazy... right?
