"Feels like sexual tension to me."
-Eli

That same day I decided to just leave the house. Nathan wasn't coming out of his room for the remainder of this Sunday, and I knew that I wouldn't come out of mine either. He needs some time to himself anyway, after having found out that his sister has feelings for him.

I wouldn't want to see her either.

After looking at the fridge I realized that we were running kind of low on food. The entire household has Penelope to thank for that, since her and Nathan eat a huge buffet after sex.

So I'm currently walking down the aisle at Acme, picking up food and clearing my mind. My brother wouldn't possibly disown me for this, right? I mean it's not like I'm ready to propose to him or something - which I'm honestly not.

I also understand how weird this must be for him, and I'm not prepared to face the awkwardness when I get home. But still and all, he acted as if this was a deep subject, like I won't be able to control myself.

I'll have him know that I'm a very put together person, despite this messy infatuation.

"Is that ... Peri?" A voice asked from behind me. I stopped pushing the cart and turned around, to face the voice. It was Eli, the boy from the mall from yesterday.

"Oh my gosh, hey!" I greeted, and waited with open arms for him to hug me. When he did, I rubbed his back slightly, and let go. "Kinda funny seeing you here."

"The grocery store..?" He smirked, and tilted his head a bit to the side. I chuckled, realizing how stupid I sounded just then.

"No like ... anywhere, I thought I would never see you again." I explain, watching as he nodded his head in understanding.

"Oh ... yeah, but how are things with wait, what's his name?-"

"Nathan?-"

"Yeah, how are things with him."

Funny you should ask ....

"Everything's still great, we're just waiting for school like we always do on Sunday's." I tell, and look into his cart. He didn't really have much in there, so I laughed at that.

"You're laughing at my shopping cart? Well, me and my sister have this like, competition thing every Monday where we grab really odd ingredients and try to make something good."

I found that pretty cool, so I nodded, lowkey wanting to be apart of his family.

"I win everytime," Eli smiled, "but I might give it to her tomorrow, she needs it I guess."
