Happy Holidays! I decided to give you guys a little holiday update because I'm corny.
"So what are you saying, that men can't be used by women?"
- NathanRoman has finally stopped pulling me along with him, and we now stood in the doorway to class. As he let me go, we walked through, and I thought that we would walk to our seats together but he sped ahead. "Roman, wait!" I call, speed-walking in order to catch up. He sat down without paying me any mind, causing Farrah to look at me confusingly.
I just sighed her way and sat down, hoping to finally be able to get him to open up his mind to me. "Are you mad? Are you ... disappointed, did I let you down? Dude, I can't read your mind."
Roman turned to the boy sitting next to him, and I could tell that they don't usually converse. "Hey, Matt, if you fought your girlfriend's ex, and then she became friends with him again, and tried to get you to too, would that make you mad?" He asked.
Matt nodded his head, and his eyes lingered on us two for a bit before continuing to mind his business. Roman shot me a look, before saying, "I don't think he's a mind reader either, and yet ..." and shrugging. Asher snickered from my right, so I scrunched my face up at him.
"Oh no, don't laugh, this is your fault too." Me accusing him caused Farrah to listen in on the conversation, since, you know, she's obsessed with him.
"Oh no it's not."
"Oh yes it is." I fired back at him.
"How? It's not my fault Roman didn't tell you about his crush on her. I honestly thought he did, which is why I even said anything in the first place." Asher explained.
"So it's my fault?" Roman questioned, gesturing at himself.
"How about it's none of you guys's fault." Farrah tried.
Ro turned to her with a confused look. "If you think guys's is an actual word, I don't think you should be giving advice. I don't want your illiterate ass anywhere near this conversation."
"OK!" Sammy spoke up. "I'm sick of hearing this, Peri, apologize to Asher, Asher apologize to Roman, and Roman ... what you said was actually true so, so just apologize to Peri."
Bewildered, we all just looked at her for a few seconds, surprised that she actually took control. A slew of apologies left our mouths, even though we didn't even know what we were saying them for. It was a bit awkward, but things went back to normal when Roman gave me what he originally was planning to this morning at my locker.
"Well, it was an I'm sorry for making you mad rose, but now, it's a let's forget this ever happened rose." He explained, while handing over the red rose encased in the clear plastic. I leaned over to retrieve it, thanking him immensely for this beautiful gesture. The boy had no idea how much I wanted to just throw myself onto him, and do things on his desk that would get us suspended.
