"I only said that because I didn't want her to throw my Xbox out the window." He whispered.
- Parker

"Just knock on the door," Nathan insisted, before instantly reverting back to his normal welcoming stance. "nobody rings the doorbell at parties." His statement almost made me feel stupid, but then I realized something.

"This is a gathering, so different rules apply." I correct, and rang the bell anyway. As I did so, he mocked me, in an annoyingly high voice. I turned to him with a crooked expression, and he met my eyes momentarily. It looked like he was thinking about doing something very impulsive, which he did.

Nathan leaned over and kissed me quickly on my lips. I had to push him away though, because the door to the house had opened. There stood Farrah, her face reading mock disgust. "Just because this is a peephole doesn't mean I deserve a peep-show."

I didn't even take that into account.

"Shut up, where are we putting these?" Nate questioned, holding up our present for Parker. This gathering was to celebrate him graduating school, and I desperately wished that I could relate to that. Farrah gestured to a table that stood off to the right of the living room. I went to walk with him over there, but she held me back.

"Looks like you got what you wanted ..." She trailed, having known already that Nathan and I had something going on. Only today did she question me on it, probably since a certain someone was going to be here too. "I like this smile on you, it's the most genuine."

I flashed her a cheeky smile before entering the house with the brunette. Upon entering, I was met with a familiar smell. "IS THAT CHOCOLATE CAKE?" I scream, with my hands cupping my mouth. After I spoke, Parker's head popped out of the kitchen, and he yelled my name at the sight of me. I did the same, as we ran up to hug each other. It was like we hadn't seen each other in years, when in reality, it's only been a month and some change.

"Oh my gosh, how have you been, you've grown so much since I last saw you." He joked, patting me on the top of my head. "Sike, but honestly, how's life?"

"Great, you?" Was all that I replied with.

"Okay ... I mean Farrah and I's one month is coming up, and you know how it is being around that for 31 days." Parker raised his voice slightly, only because the girl was walking past. His words caused her to hit him on his head, and I just stood there and chuckled along with them. "I apologize, babe," Parker leaned in closer to me so that only I could hear him. "I only said that because I didn't want her to throw my Xbox out the window." He whispered.

"Very funny, but is this the turnout?" I asked, because it seemed as if Nate, Farrah, Parker and I were the only ones here.

"Nah, Roman's out back ..." Parker said that uneasily, probably because I've never really opened up to him about how I felt regarding the whole cheating scandal. I just shrugged, basically saying that I didn't care. P went to go and say something, but his mother came down the stairs with a giant bowl in her hands.
