"The last time that I saw you, I said that I wasn't coming back to this town single." - Parker
"Thank you so much for coming over, if Jasmine wasn't busy, then I would've asked her but–"
"No, it's cool, I didn't have much going on anyway." Asher shrugged, cutting me off before I could feel even more bad for him. We were in my room with Sammie, dress shopping for the winter formal. Neither of them were going to go because they didn't have a date, but I persuaded them to go as a couple.
We were going to stay together as a group anyway, so it didn't really matter who they showed up with.
"Do you ever?" Sam questioned, while chewing on her straw. My laughter sort of shot out of my mouth like a sprinkler, causing some spit to fly out similarly. Majority of it landed in her direction since I was facing her, so I apologized as we both laughed at it.
"I used to, you know, when I had a girlfriend?" He brought up, before finishing off his can of Mountain Dew. "But pussy doesn't make the world go 'round, so who cares."
Considering the fact that he was surrounded by girls, we took mock offense. "I'm pretty sure you do, since you brought it up." Sammie replied, with her head tilted.
"I don't know, hey wait, did I tell you guys about what's been going on in my life, Farrah wise?"
"No," I immediately say. "you kinda just stopped talking about her."
Ash scoffed to himself before looking down at his hands. They were folded in his lap, and he only does that when he's about to talk about something that fucked him up. Obviously after catching onto that, I was more attentive, and gave him my undivided attention. Even though I know that he knew that Farrah was no good.
"Yeah, that's because she has a boyfriend, and I didn't want to ... you know, concern you with it." The boy explained, and I shot him a confusing look. Why would I be concerned with who she's dating? "Her boyfriend's Parker, you know, Roman's cousin?"
It was as if Asher read my mind, and right now, if he didn't want to witness me going the hell off, then he shouldn't do it again. "What the fuck, how do you know that?" I question, picking up my phone to call, you guessed it, Roman.
"She personally told me, not sure why, but Farrah came up to me out of the blue. I guess she thought that she was rubbing it in my face." Ash elaborated, and Sammie shook her head because that sounds exactly like something Farrah would do.
"Babe?" I call, while putting the phone on speaker. It'd been ringing the whole time that Asher was talking to me, and he only just now picked it up.
