Emotions are what makes us human, especially love. Caring for other individuals keeps our humanity intact. But, what's Peri to think when the very fervor she's been dreaming of feeling for another human being, is incited by her half brother Nathan...

"That's good, now I don't have to feel guilty about all of the thoughts I've had about you and me since I came up to you." - Arson
It was officially the last night of our five day trip to the Hamptons. Things between Roman and I have remained strictly platonic since his confession two nights ago, and I was happy because of that. I mean, I didn't want things to be awkward between us since things never are, we're usually pretty understanding of each other. It's funny that I say that now, even though this entire time I couldn't tell that he had feelings for me.
Pushing all of that aside, I was now walking through the lobby with Penelope. It's so weird to think about since never had I ever thought that we would be able to coexist for this long. Looking past the fact that she's obnoxious, relentlessly annoying, and a bitch, she's actually an okay person.
Do I see us hanging out in the future? Hell no.
"So, where is this little miss Heather?" She asked, and I completely forgot about what I had said to her earlier in our trip. I bet that it's just been eating her from the inside out, and that is fucking hilarious.
"Oh yeah, um, I remember seeing her post something on her Snapchat story. It was her by the pool, so she's probably outside." I recall, and I was suddenly looking forward to this day after all. Penelope grabbed onto my hand and pulled me outside, in the direction of the swimming pools.
Now that her and I were getting along, I no longer wished to humiliate her. It was actually pretty sad, but what the hell, maybe it'll make this current energy between us last longer.
"You see her?" She asked, and I scanned the area for a tall, skinny and pale girl with straight black hair. I quickly found her almost automatically, since she had her entire posse standing up around her. If she wasn't my friend, I would have totally mistook her for a bitch.
She's like Sharpay Evans without the blonde hair, or the obsession with pink.
"Heather!" I greet, walking up to the pale girl, she was in the middle of laughing at something when I did. She instantly greeted me back, standing up in order to throw her arms around me. We were never really the type of friends to engage in hugs on sight, so this was a bit weird for me.
"I'm so glad you actually came, I was beginning to think that you and I were talking about a different Hamptons." She joked, and I chuckled her way with a closed smile.
"Where are my manners, Heather, this is Nathan's girlfriend, Penelope." Before I could continue on the introduction, Pen stepped in front of me to shake Heather's hand. Her skinny limb shook up and down freely, almost as if she wasn't putting any effort into it.
"I've heard so much about you, I just had to meet you, and see for myself." Pen started, and I knew that this conversation was about to take a turn for the worse.
