My eyes fluttered open slowly as I felt the warm morning light shine on me.

Or at least I wish that happened. I actually woke up because my face met the cold floor. I groaned as I pushed myself up from the floor, supporting myself with my forearms.

The blankets were wrapped around me in a tangle as I rolled to lie on my back. I rubbed my head with my hand as I opened my eyes and looked up. I let out a startled sound as I saw Carter standing over me, laptop in hand and his clothes and hair ruffled from sleep.

He childishly smiled down at me and turned away, he left my line of sight and I shut my eyes for a few seconds before I got up and untangled the blankets from around me. After nearly falling on my face, I got untangled from the blankets and trudged over to my desk where Carter was sitting.

I reached him and put my hands on the back of the chair, "You pushed me out of my bed didn't you?"

"Yep" he said cheerfully.

I swatted him on the head, him barely flinching, "Why'd you wake me up then, Carter?"

He moved the mouse around and picked up the laptop and turned it towards as he said, "This, Lacey, is why I woke you up."

On the screen, after my eyes adjusted to the bright screen, I saw that the views and subscribers count and information was showing on the screen.

Except instead of the usually 14,000 subscribers we had since I had last checked, the number had jumped to 39,000 since our last video couple videos.

My eyes widened and a smile took on my lips despite the itching feeling of sleep deprivation.

"Damn" I mumbled as I stared at the screen in awe.

Carter nodded and put the laptop down, "I just got a text from my mom. She said my glasses just came in the mail." He said calmly.

The smile didn't waver on my face as I quickly turned away from him and towards my dresser. I quickly picked up a hair tie and in one swift motion, tied my hair up in a bun.

Carter stood up, catching on that I wanted to see these glasses. He went over to the door and left downstairs to get his shoes. I grabbed a pair of worn out slipper-like boots and slipped them on. I walked out the door and rushed down the stairs to see Carter leaning against the door, still clad in his night clothes as I saw him earlier. I didn't bother changing out of my night clothes either.

He seemed to notice me and pushed himself off the door. He turned and opened the door, motioning for me to step out. I hurriedly stepped outside, followed by Carter and walked over to the car, trying to open the door immediately.

"I am not going through this again" Carter said as he went over to my side of the car. He slapped my hand repeatedly until I let go of the handle, mumbling something about childish teens and unlocked the car. He got in the car around the same time I did and put the keys in the ignition and pulled out of the driveway and started down the street to his house.

"Hey Mom!" Carter yelled into the house as he pushed the door open. I followed him inside the familiar house and shut the door behind me.

I heard footsteps coming down the stairs quickly and looked over to the stairs and saw Carter's mom rushing down. Her hair, the same blonde as Carter's, even possibly lighter, was hanging loosely at her shoulders and she was dressed in what seemed to be her pajamas. A regular t-shirt and sleep pants.
