Please Excuse Any Mistakes

3 Days Later, Saturday...

"Hi, table for," I briefly looked back and the group and quickly counted before turning back to the host, "7," I finished.

The man was about to speak before Carter leapt forward and put his hands on my shoulders, making me fall forward slightly, "Oh and could it be a booth please?" He paused, "And could we possibly get coloring paper and crayons as well?" He asked with a straight, serious face.

The guy looked at Carter curiously at his demand for crayons before his eyes switched to me. He nodded and grabbed a few sheets of paper and a couple boxes of crayons before motioning for us to follow him.

As we walked I turned around to Carter, "Crayons? Seriously?" I asked him.

He shrugged and wrapped an arm around my waist, "Evan and I love to draw when we're waiting for food."

Of course they do. I rolled my eyes.

Just a few seconds later, right before we reached the table, Carter was pulled to the right, away from me. Confused, I looked to the right and saw Gabbie lace her hand with his. He looked over at me apologetically and said something to Gabbie, which she smiled at.

I furrowed my eyebrows and crossed my arms over my chest, slowing down from the group.

Your gonna have to get used to her Lacey. It's not just the Carter and Lacey show, including its few special guests. Now, it's the Lacey and Carter and his girlfriend show.
I looked back at the group again. Macy, Jerry, and Dexter were all engaged in a conversation, talking animatedly about something.

I sighed as the host stopped and placed down the menus, gesturing for us to sit down, eyeing Carter weirdly as he did so.

Carter and Gabbie slipped into the booth first, sitting at the end on the right. Jerry and Macy sat down next to them and Evan sat next to them. Finally, Dexter and I sat down, leaving me on the left end.

Gabbie and Carter were still talking while Jerry and Evan dived into a conversation. Macy looked from me to Carter and raised an eyebrow. She shrugged and turned, tapping Carter's shoulder.

He looked back to her and she spoke. I briefly heard her ask him to scoot over. He did as she asked, pushing himself and Gabbie out of the booth so she could get out. The three got out of the booth before Gabbie and Carter went back into the booth, letting Macy sit across from me.

She leaned forward and looked from me to Dexter. Dexter looked at here strangely and tilted his head.

She propped her head up on her hands and looked to Dexter, "So, what's London like? Or, you know, living there?" She asked curiously.

That's not good.

Don't respond, Dexter, don't re-

"Well it's great, I guess" he answered simply.

I glanced at Macy, a smile grew on her face. Well, there goes normal Macy.

She began shooting out questions about London. Throwing in a few comments of her own, leaving almost no time for Dexter to answer.

I leaned my head against my fist. Why does she have to be so obsessed with England?
I thought that obsession died in middle school...

"I mean, for me, London isn't amazing any more" I heard Dexter say. I perked up and listened to their conversation.

I looked to Macy, her eyebrows were furrowed as she lowered her hands in front of her, lying them on the table. She tilted her head, "But, you live there?" She asked.
