Please Excuse Any Mistakes
When Monday came, I was on high alert. After Carter and I walked in on Gwen and Evan kissing, Evan hasn't come back for revenge yet...
I went down the stairs slowly, trying very hard not to slip on the wood stairs with my socks.
I reached the end of the stairs and slid towards the kitchen. I grabbed onto the archway and peeked in, it was empty. I went in slowly and went for the cupboard. I opened the door slowly and looked in. I quickly decided on eating a small bowl of cereal. I grabbed the box of Lucky Charms and closed the cupboard door slowly.
I moved to the counter and grabbed a bowl from the cabinet. I put the two items down and grabbed the milk from the fridge, trying to work fast. I made the bowl of cereal as fast as I could and grabbed a spoon from the drawer near me and started eating.
I ate maybe a little less than half of the cereal before I heard someone moving upstairs. Not wanting to chance it, I quickly emptied the bowl in the sink and filled the bowl with water before running to the entry way, grabbing a pair of my shoes and my bag before opening the door and slipping out, slamming the door behind me accidentally.
I sat down in front of the door and slipped my shoes on.
I stood up and opened my bag, I looked in and made sure I had what I needed. I was about to zip it back up but I remembered about the assignment I had been working on.
Shit.
I'm finished it, It's due today, and I need my laptop.
I'm so screwed.
I sighed and put each strap of my bag over my shoulders and prepared myself to run in, grab my laptop, and sprint out.
I put my hand on the door knob and opened the door. I ran into the house and went straight to the living room. I saw my laptop on the coffee table and scooped it up before I turned and saw Evan standing in front of me, his arms crossed.
My shoulders slumped as I looked up at him.
He grinned, "Don't worry, sis, I have a plan thats ready to be executed but, you know, Carter was part of your intrusion, so be on the lookout." He said before he took a step back and went to the kitchen.
I sighed and went out the door, fully knowing Evan could possibly make my life a living hell.
And all because he and Gwen can't get a room!
I decided not to lock the door on my way out, leaving that task up to Evan and I took my phone out of my pocket.
Carter isn't coming for another twenty minutes...
I slipped my phone back in my pocket and walked down to the sidewalk. I went left, deciding that I'm not gonna sit here for twenty minutes.
Xx
I pushed the door open, knowing it was unlocked, and stepped in, "Carter?" I yelled up the stairs, "I finished getting ready early because I was scared of Evan's wrath but then I decided I didn't want to wait twenty more minutes for you to come. So now I'm here!" I yelled.
With no response, I went up the stairs and to Carter's room. He must have slept through his alarm... Again.
I knocked on the door but heard no answer. I rolled my eyes and opened the door and looked to Carter's bed, seeing a bundle of blankets, a head full of blonde hair sticking out.
Grinning, I went up to the bed and turned my back to it. I stuck my arms out at my sides and let myself fall back onto the bundle called Carter.
I heard a small grunt come from beneath me as Carter moved.
