Chp. 40

Rosie P.O.V

It's been two weeks since I've been New York which has been fun and stressful. Cody and I have been texting every day and every other day we Skype which always made me miss him even more. The rumors of Harry and I have decreased slightly when Harry got mad and told people to shut the hell up. When you've been hurt so many times it's nice to have someone hold your hand. I don't know why but to me it felt like I was being protected but the fans will never truly understand.

I missed Cody's hand intertwined with mine and I never felt fully protected with any other boy's hands wrapped around mine. Cody didn't have a problem with me holding another boy's hand since he knew that it was only in a friendly way. His hands were the only one that made me forget about all of the hate and  brought me warmth. Our fingers fit perfectly with each other almost like pieces of a puzzle. These thoughts just made me which that he was here even more.

Well anyway during this past week I recorded the song Never Been Hurt by Demi Lovato. Everyone wanted me to become a singer but it was just for fun. My dream is to be a professional model not being a professional singer. Selena also asked me to help her make her album and I of course said yes. She was like an older sister and I enjoyed helping her with writing songs.

I heard a low knock coming from my door making me get pulled away from my thoughts. I opened my door, seeing Niall with Wendy's. He must of saw how badly I missed Wendy's since I wasn't really allowed to have it. "Oh my god I love you so much." I grabbed the bag and hugged him tightly."I figured that you would say that." He chuckled as I pulled away smiling.

Kailey came in and started to talk to Niall about something. I wasn't paying attention since I was too busy eating my Baconator. "And what did I tell you about getting Rosie Wendy's?" I picked my head hiding my Baconator from her. "She missed her food obviously." Niall chuckled lightly.

Kailey playfully rolled her eyes. "When is Selena getting here anyway?" I checked my phone still holding my almost finished burger. "In about an hour why?" I watched Kailey's eyes go wide. "That's when Justin's coming." Niall said explaining Kailey's expression.

"Can you guys calm down? She doesn't even like him anymore. Besides she's not going into the building." I said walking towards the trash bin. "Well I'm just saying." Kailey protested. "Where is G anyway?" I asked walking back into my room.

  "She went to go food shopping with the lads." Niall answered for Kailey. "Oh well I'm going to get ready." I said pulling out my clothes for today. "Okay well at 3:30 we have a surprise for you at the studio." I groaned putting my head on the wall. All I wanted to do today was help Selena with her album but I guess that couldn't be arranged. "Don't worry it'll be an amazing surprise." She gave a look to Niall who just bit his lip.

  "Okay? Well I'm going to go get changed now." I closed my door feeling uncertain at the moment. I'm always afraid of what Kailey's surprises were since they always ended up going wrong.

  I decided to wear my see-through cheetah print button up shirt, black shorts, and black VANs. I braided my hair to the side and put on mascara. It was about 11:30 so Selena should be here any minute. My phone started buzzing on my dresser. I reached over and saw that Sel had texted me telling me she was here.

  "Guys I'm going." I yelled out running out of my room. I couldn't hear what they were saying since I was already down the hall. "Selena!" I ran over toward her hugging her in the process. "Nice to see you too." She replied patting my back."So are you excited?" She asked me as we made our way to the car. "Hell yeah!" I exclaimed making her laugh.

At The Studio

  "Selena how does this sound?" I sang to her the lyrics I had just jotted down for her song Slow Down. She clapped her hands up and down happily. "You're an amazing singer." She pulled out her phone with the camera facing me.

  "What are you doing?" I asked walking out of the recording booth. "I'm recording us and putting it on YouTube duh?" She said flicking her hair back. I just giggled lightly but froze when I saw the time. It was 2:30 and I had to leave in 30 minutes. 

  "Okay well I guess you can record me now since I only have thirty minutes. She looked at the clock sadly but plastered a smile on her face. "Okay." She sighed fixing her hair. She faced the camera towards her putting on a smile. "Hey guys I'm with the one and only Rosie Gonzalez." I popped up beside her smiling and waving.  "Were going to be recording songs and Rosie over here is going to sing one of the songs that she helped me with." The beat for Slow Down started. I started singing looking straight at the camera.

  I ended it with that since I didn't want to give the rest of the song away. We spoke and sang a few more from the other songs. I checked the time seeing that I only had ten minutes left. "Okay well that's all we have for now." I said as I walked out of the booth.

  "Rosie aren't you going to tell them what's coming up soon?" I looked at her confused but then remembered what we were planning. "When Selena's album comes out I'm going to be singing with her at one of her concerts." I said jumping up and down. 

  She started laughing at my excitement. "Well that's all we truly have for now so I love you guys bye!" We blew kisses into the camera before hitting the stop button. She logged into her Youtube smiling. She hit the Upload button and it said it needed to process for an hour.

  "I'll text you when it's done." She informed me as we both started heading for the door. "Thanks again for helping me." She pulled me into a tight hug. "Tell Cody I said by the way." She told me as she walked me out the door. "I will." I promised her making my way out.

  I walked to the studio since it was only a few blocks away. I got there around 3:35 and I was beyond excited for my surprise. "Nice bra Rosie." Gianna laughed. "Thanks." I replied back laughing.  "Your surprise will get here shortly." Kailey said smiling wide looking at Harry. "Is it really that big of a surprise?" I saw them all simultaneously shake their heads up and down. "Your going to love us forever!" Gianna said happily.

  I just laughed while walking to the snack table. "So you never told us that you were working with Selena." Liam's voice filled my ear's as he grabbed a pear. "Yeah she asked me for help and I said why not?" He nodded his head biting into the pear.

  "Why don't you want to be come a singer again?" This question never gets old. "It's just something I never really wanted to do. Right now I'm fine with being a model." In my own opinion I thought being a model was way more fun than being a singer. "So maybe one day you'll become one?" I nodded my head as Liam smiled.

  "Rosie your surprise is here." I turned around, tears filling my eyes. They were right I would love them forever.
