Navya and Abhi informed me that they wanted to give me a surprise by not telling me about navya's scholarship in space. At first I was a bit shocked but then I started faking my anger and made my self comfortable on my chair to listen to all those explanations that navya was going to give me.
Here she goes....
" nandu sorry na....tum to hume janti ho ki hume har kaam filmy tarike se karna hi pasand hai isliye humne socha ki hum tumhe na bataye aur aise tumhe surprise kar de" I was totally enjoying this now. "Surprise! Like seriously navya....agar aisa hi tha to fir bhai ko kyu bola?" "Vo kya hai na ki ye sheher humare liye naya hai to isliye abhi ko help ke liye bolna pada" she reasoned. Aww my filmy navya how easily she gets trapped in my pranks...she's so naive. I mentally pat myself for acting so good but Abhi has to ruin it all.
"Are madhubala vaise to pura din drama karti ho par jab ye bandariya (smacking nandini's head lightly) itne drame karti hai tumhare saath tab kya ho jata hai tumhe?" He questioned her and navya stared at me as if I had murdered someone and I glared at Abhi for spoiling my plan to trouble her to which he smirked victoriously. Aghgh!! I so hate him!! I was busy blabbering to myself when navya spoke up. "Nandu...tum acting kar rahi thi!?!? Haww! Matlab tum humse gussa nahi ho?" "Are navya main bhi to vahi bola" abhi again interrupted. "Kya Bhai...this isn't fair....apne aisa kyu kiya? It was so much fun seeing her face. How sacred she was thinking ki I'm angry but no you had to ruin it all na Bhai" I removed all my frustration over him but he being Abhimanyu Murthy....how can he ever be serious just smiled sheepishly and winked at me. " haww nandini not fair!" Navya said with a sad voice and I just giggled. "Sorry na navya....apni soulie ko maaf kar do pleaseee" I said making my puppy dog face and I know that this will definitely melt her and see I was right, she quickly gave me a side hug mouthing an "its OK" to me.

We chatted for some time more in which I got to know more about fab 5. I really adored them. Their friendship was so deep ,so pure, a perfect example of friendship that can be set for others. Manik suddenly got a call after which he along with the fab 4 had to leave for their music album which was to be launched next month i suppose but he assured me that he would surely meet me after he completes his work, I smiled in response. He hugged me one last time before leaving and telling me a "see you soon" and "take care".
I spent the rest of my time chatting with navya, catching up all the stuff, all the gossips that I missed in US. Aah I missed this so much. It really feels nice to see your best friend, your soul sister to be precise after such long. It was so different from when I met manik after a complete two years. Meeting him and spending time with him was completely different. When he's around , it feels like there no other person existing in this world...its just me and my bestie. My childhood buddy. Nothing and no one can take the place that he holds in my life. All the time spent with him is so magical. Before I could get more lost in my thoughts I felt something vibrating in my bag. I put my hand in to remove my phone to see that I have received a text from manik saying that his work would finish in the next one hour but will not be able to meet me as he was damn tired. I instantly replied with an "its ok" and kept my phone back inside my bag when I found a gift neatly wrapped in my bag. Oh God! How? I mean how could I forget to give this gift to manik even after spending so much time with him!?...you need to make notes to remind yourself murthy! I made a mental note to go to manik's and give his gift once the college gets over. The remaining day went in a blur and it was soon time for me to head to manik's home to give him his gift. Abhi offered me a ride to manik's but I declined telling him that I'll take a cab till his place. He was hesitant to agree at first as I was new to this place but eventually gave in, after all no one is yet born to win over the stubborn nandini murthy. I took a cab to manik's place and reached there in nearly 10 minutes. I entered inside the apartment and rang the doorbell of his house. He opened the door and my eyes popped out of my sockets seeing the view in front of me. His house was a complete mess. Trust me when I say complete mess then I really mean it. Nothing at its proper place, everything scattered around.
"Nandu tum yaha?" Asked manik "ha vo I wanted to give you something" I replied fidgeting inside my bag when I got pulled inside by a pair of strong arms. I looked up to face manik and our eyes got locked. I could not understand what was happening to me....I just wanted to drown into those deep chocolaty eyes of his. I was snapped out of my thoughts when manik shook me with a jerk by my shoulders. "Nandini where are you lost?....kabse bula rha hu tumhe" "ahh...not..nothing.... I...I was just thinking that how messy have you become" I replied eyeing his messy house and he just smiled sheepishly scratching the back of his head. I giggled seeing him so embarrassed. He was completely flushed. I entered further and started cleaning the mess that he had created when he caught hold of my hand and asked me what I wanted to give him. I smiled at how curious he was to know just like a child. I took out a box and handed it to him. He quickly unwrapped it and crunched his brows in confusion.

"Lamp?" "Its not just a lamp manik...wait" I switched off all the lights and returned to where I was standing. "Nandini lights kyu off kar Di?" "Are manik wait na...you'll come to know...acha now press that button jo neeche hai" "kaha?" He questioned. I switched on the flashlight from my phone and showed him the button and he pressed it. He was shocked...nah surprised actually....no no no....he was jumping and dancing like a kid beaming with happiness to see his favourite stars emitting from the lamp."its beautiful "he said admiring the stars dreamily "I know" I replied. His expressions were so adorable from confused to shocked to surprised to happy. I pulled his cheeks tightly and said " manik u so cute....just like a kid" "nandu call me hot, handsome,sexy but not cute yaar....please!" He cribbed being pissed when I called him cute. Aww!

"Acha now stop cribbing like a baby and help me clean your place which has just recovered from an earthquake" I said ruffling his hair and he obeyed sincerely. Soon we were found cleaning his entire house. Phew!he's really a kid! I sighed helplessly to myself.
