MaNan: It all started with a lie

What's up with Aryaman?

The next morning was a new day, rather a fresh beginning for Manik and Nandini. Their relationship was promoted to lovers and one could say they were way too content with it.

Manik was the first one to wake up. He rubbed his eyes, in order to get rid of his sleep and attempted to wake up when he felt a weight on himself. He looked down to see Nandini sleeping over him, clutching his shirt tightly in her small fists, just like how a baby sleeps on his dad.

Manik smiled looking at her peaceful morning face for quite some time and then half heartedly decided to wake her up.

Manik: Nandu utho...its morning already

He called out, patting her hair softly with one hand and caressing her cheek with the other but as a result Nandini only snuggled more into him.

Manik: Nandini princess utho na please

He tried again but in vain. Waking up a sleeping Nandini was sure a herculean task.

Manik: Nandini please baba wake up na

He said patting her hair which finally woke her up.

Nandini: good morning

She wished him too cutely while rubbing her eyes, looking like a baby while he could just admire her.

Manik: oye that's not how you wish good morning

Nandini*confused*: toh?

Manik: let me show you

Saying so he leaned forward and gently cupped her face and before Nandini could register, his lips were on hers, sucking them as if it were his favourite candy.

Nandini was too shocked to react at first but soon passion engulfed her as she began responding to the kiss, clutching his hair in her fist.

They soon broke apart panting for oxygen. Nandini had turned all red by now while Manik was grinning shamelessly.

Manik: you freshen up, main bahar wait kar raha hu

Nandini nodded, still blushing slightly as Manik left the tent. Ten minutes later, both of them were ready to leave and thus end their date though not so willingly. They settled themselves in Manik's car and speeded back home.

Manik: so back to the real world?

Manik sighed and Nandini nodded.

Nandini: yes! Back to real world but Mani thank you so much for this date...it was the best any girl could have

Manik*smiles*: I am glad that you liked it and that I could do something to make you smile. I promise Nandini, I will never let this smile falter

Nandini: I know

Soon enough, Manik halted his car outside Nandini's apartment and both looked at each other helplessly. None wanted to leave or go away from each other after spending such a beautiful day with each other but nonetheless they had to.

Nandini: bye Mani

Manik: bye

Nandini: Toh main jau?

Manik: um ha....I guess

He murmured the last part to himself but Nandini frowned.

Nandini: Mani main pakka jau?

She asked for the last time, a little hopefully to which Manik again nodded to her dismay. Dejected, she was about to leave when Manik called her out.

Nandini: ha?

She asked rather excitedly hoping to listen what she wanted to but Manik had different plans.

Manik: ready rehna...I will pick you up for college

Nandini: aur kuch?

She asked expectantly but Manik just nodded negatively.

Nandini huffed and started moving out of the car grumpily when she felt a strong pull and found herself on Manik's lap.

Nandini: manik yeh kya tha?

She gasped making him chuckle.

Manik: voh kya hai na...I have a girlfriend jisko main kuch bolna bhul gaya so yeh isliye

He said pulling her even more closer as Nandini waited for him to speak.

Manik*smiles*: I love you star

He spoke softly and pecked her forehead which in turn made Nandini smile, her previous grumpiness all gone. She quickly kissed his cheeks and left leaving him to complain for not replying to him properly but smiled anyways at her cuteness.

Soon after freshening up, Manik picked Nandini and reached college. There was a lot of hustle bustle around which confused them making them wonder if there was something special going to happen as they made their way to the canteen hand in hand to find all their friends already there.

Manik: hey guys

Cabir: lo finally the Romeo and Juliet are here

Manik just rolled his eyes at the comment while Nandini blushed but covered it up.

Nandini: guys yeh aaj kuch hai kya? The entire college seems busy today

Maddy: ha munchkin voh actually there is some music ustaad coming....a classical ustaad to be precise whose gonna train students in classical singing and then will select a duo from among them who will be representing space in the fusion concert

Manik: fusion concert?

Cabir: Yup. Its going to be really grand and isse space ko bhi bohot faida hoga

Manik: but mom ne toh mujhe iss baare me kuch bhi nahi bola

Abhi: ha voh mom ko kal evening me hi pata chala and since tu Nandini ke saath bahar tha she thought of not disturbing you

Manik: oh

Navya: ab lectures ke liye chale? Hume late nahi hona

Cabir: kya yaar Navya tumhe lectures kyu attend karne hai? They are so boring

Navya: just a reminder Cabir....do mahine baad humari exams hai and I can't afford failing but ha agar tumhe fail hona hai toh yahi baithe raho, hum ja rahe hai

Cabir: Are nahi. Shit! How did I forget about those stupid exams!?

He muttered making the others chuckle.

Everyone was about to leave for class when suddenly Aryaman stopped them.

Aryaman: guys hold on for a sec!

Mukti: kya hua?

Aryaman: voh Aditi aaj vapas aa rahi hai apni dadi ke ghar se so main use lene ja raha hu

Maddy: ...and?

Aryaman: and I want you guys to be there at our usual club tonight at 7 so see you there and bye

He rushed out without listening to their reply. Others stared at him confused, not understanding his weird behaviour except for Maddy and Nandini who exchanged a knowing look and smirked which wasn't unnoticed by manik but he decided to ask them later about it.

Mukti: yeh aryaman ko kya hua?

Alia: ha why was he behaving so weird?

They questioned no one in particular.

Abhi: main bhi subeh se notice kar raha hu. Kabhi apne phone ko dekh kar smile karta hai toh kabhi I catch him smiling like a fool without any reason and jab bhi baat karne ki koshish karta hu toh janaab apni hi duniya me gayab hote hai

Navya: pata nahi uske dimaag me kya chal raha hai but there's something cooking for sure

Nandini: are Navya chuck that na, hume class jaana hai....we are getting late

Nandini reminded.

Navya: hey matarani! Jaldi chalo

She slapped her forehead and rushed out, dragging Nandini along followed by the others.
