The week had passed by moderately. It was nearly eight in the morning, Saturday and I was in bed doing questions for Maths and Terrance lay next to me with his hand slung over my legs as I worked.

"How long have you been up?" He asked me and I jumped.

"About three hours." I said and turned to look at him.

"Did you sleep much?"

"It was enough." I said. He groaned and sat up in the bed.

"My mom wants to go dressing shopping with you." I stopped writing. Isla and I still won't on talking terms. Last night at dinner she made it blatantly clear that she didn't like me. Terrance had kissed me because Heather had said we won't very affectionate for a couple about to get married. She had scrunched up her face and said she didn't want to see displays of affection between Terrance and his flousy. I was wounded and when we went to our room I had locked myself in the bathroom and sat on the floor scratching my leg.

"Yeah, I believe that." I snorted and he sighed. He sat up in the bed and stared at me.

"She wants to make up." He said grabbing my books out of my hand.

"Yea, of course. Just like Viola." I huffed and folded my arms.

"Viola?"

"From Monster-in-law. She tried to sabotage the relationship between her son and his fiancée. It worked." I pointed out and stared at him.

"Okay, well tell your mom to tag along." I cringed internally.

"Giselle and I don't really talk." I said and he frowned. He grabbed my hand in his and gave them a gentle squeeze.

"I want to take you to dinner later. Put up with them for me." He said and I frowned.

"This is blackmail." He leaned forward and kissed me on my forehead.

"See you later."

I had texted my mom and told her to meet us at the mall. Isla and I drove there in complete silence and when we reached the store, Bridal Solutions, we parted ways. I went to sit on a chair and she browsed through dresses.

We were only there for an half an hour when my mom finally reached. She spotted me and made her way towards me and sat next to me.

"Hi, you look lovely." She said to me and I looked down at my attire. I wore a tights, and a t-back vest and sandals on my feet. Lovely wasn't exactly the words I was looking for. I looked her over and she wore a simple dress with sandals on her feet. Her curly hair was up in a bun and her face was clean of make up.

"Oh, hello. I'm Isla, Terrance's mother." Isla said extending her hand for Giselle to shake it.

"I'm Giselle, Gwyn's mother." Giselle smiled.

"Pleasure."

"Definite. Did you see any dresses you liked?" My mother asked Isla and for a second I forgot that I was the one getting married.

"Yes I did. It's right here." She turned and walked towards a wall of dresses and my mother and I followed.

I stared at the dress in horror. It was cream with a turtle neck and open arms, a tight bodice and a long skirt. I couldn't see myself in that dress, even if I was dead. I didn't even know what fabric it was made out of.

"What are the wedding colours?" My mother asked.

"Oh, I was thinking about a cream and lilac theme." Isla said and I frowned.

"Well-" my mother cut me off.

"Baby blue and lilac would go well."

"I wholeheartedly agree." I opened my mouth to object but a store attendant appeared.

"Hi, can I help you?" She asked. She was about my height, with long hair held back by a bando and red skinned. She had hazel eyes and big lips.

"We're just looking over this dress." Isla said.

"Who's the bride?" She asked and my mother turned to me.

"She is." She looked at the dress, then at me then at the dress again.

"Let's find something the bride would wear." I let out a sigh of relief.

"What's wrong with this?" Isla asked and the attendant frowned.

"Not really, our speed." She linked hands with me and led me away. "I have one for you."

The dress was holta backed with a sweet heart bodice and a thick skirt. I rubbed my fingers on the fabric and smiled when I felt the silk and lace. The bodice had little sequences sewen into it and the skirt had sequences sewen into patterns. It was the traditional white and I frowned a bit.

"What do you think?" She asked with a hand on her waist and I glanced at the dress.

"I don't know. It's definitely an option. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled though." I said as I trailed the sequences with my finger.

"That's fine. First time?" She asked with a smile.

"And only." I added with a laugh. Thank you." I added.

"For what?"

"For rescuing me. I've never been more glad to be with a stranger before." She laughed and dragged me away to a selection of corsets.

"I could see a woman in need. Mother and in-law?" She asked as she held up a white corset and held it up against my chest.

"Yip." I looked down at the black and white corset and frowned.

"What, don't like corsets?" She asked noticing my frown.

"Not really." She hung it back up and turned to a rack that hung lace lingerie.

"Okay, you need to wear one under your dress. I mean, you don't need it to tummy tuck or anything but to hold it together." I hummed and she pulled out a black stringy thing that had a corset middle and reminded me or Terrance's gift to me. I walked forward and grabbed a black under thing.

"This is for the night, not the wedding." She laughed and I blushed before putting it back on the rack.

"I think that's all." I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"Glad I could help." She said just as my mother and Isla came over to us.

"Gwyn, I have the best dress for you to see." My mother gushed and I frowned.

"Um, mom-" Isla cut me off.

"Come quick. We haven't whole day." She huffed and I stepped back.

"Then go on. I have a store I want to look at. Do enjoy." I said and turned to smile at the woman before walking towards the door and out the store.
