I was dead tired.

Terrance was getting ready to drive us home after our short week honeymoon. We hadn't done much exciting things, the beach was a part of the honeymoon, and out of the seven days we spent two of them home lounging around being potatoes. I had just finished packing our bags back into the car and I was about to take my seat and get ready to strap myself in when Terrance leaned against the door and looked at me with a serious face.

"What?" My brows were furrowed.

"Back to civilisation. What are you going to do now?"

"Isn't this a conversation for the car?"

"Point. Ready to go." I smiled up at him and leaned up to kiss his lips. I nodded my head and watched as he moved away from my car door and I opened it. I slipped in and buckled my seatbelt. He came in shortly after and started the car, quickly pulling out of the driveway and setting us on our way to home.

"I was thinking about finding a job somewhere close to home." I told him.

"What about teaching?"

"Well, I have yet to graduate and in addition to that I will have to submit my name to the ministry of Education in order to get a position in a school."

"Oh, so what are you thinking about?"

"I don't know. Maybe anywhere that'll take me." I sighed thinking about what my future career would look like.

"You could work in the hospital, maybe as an accountant." Terrence said and glanced at me. I scrunched up my nose at the thought, I never liked anything to do with finance, except receiving money.

"I don't know about that. That's not really my strong suit."

"But it's a job and it pays." I chewed on my lip.

"Are you saying that because you want to spend more time with me?" I narrowed my eyes at him. He chuckled softly and glanced at me.

"I don't be at my office often, only for meetings."

"Well then no." He shook his head at my words and I picked up my phone just as it began ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey Gwyn, I was wondering if when you're coming up the road if you could buy chow for Rex." April breathed. She had asked to take care of Rex who was partially house broken. She was taking care of him in her mother's house and I had just forgotten about the stupid puppy before she called.

"Okay, we'll be there soon." We ended the call.

"Be where?"

"By your mother's house, to collect Rex; who happens to need more chow." Terrence hummed in response and we continued the drive in silence.

"So, are you pregnant yet?" April asked beaming up at me as she petted Rex from the ground. My eyes widened at her words.

"You do know that Terrence doesn't want kids right?" I asked her.

"I thought his mind changed since he met you." She folded her arms and let out a huff. "Poke some holes in the condom. He doesn't believe in abortion so he wouldn't get rid of it." I laughed at her.

"We don't use condoms." I bit my lip and her eyes widened. She let out a squeal that startled the poor puppy away from her.

"April, leave the girl alone." Heather said as she walked into the room bouncing Marcus on her hip.

"I want a child to mind." She pouted and Heather thrust Marcus at her who instantly began crying. She shook her head and pulled him back.

"Well make one." Heather snapped and shook her head.

"Woah, I'm still a little young for that." Before Heather could retort Malique walked into the living room looking rather cross.

"What crawled up your ass and died?" Heather said with a dry laugh.

"Piss off." Was his responding hiss.

"Anyway, I best be off." I stood and picked up Rex in my arms.

"When next will you be visiting?" April asked with a pout.

"I don't know, as soon as things settle down." I shrugged a shoulder and pulled my head back as Max licked my cheek.

"Gwyn, are you ready?" Terrance asked with a bit of edge in his voice.

"Yeah." I nodded to him and he took Max from me and led us out, waving at April. "Are you okay?"

"I just need to get home." And we went to the car and cocooned ourselves in silence.

So, this chapter is a bit short because I was trying to write a filler but I was also trying not to bore y'all. So this is just a filler, I promise the story is not ending just yet and this would heat up a bit.
