I could not sit still. We had been home for a week and I had gone to three job interviews and I just received a call back from one at Royal Bank and I had accepted, solely because I was getting bored doing the job of stay at home wife.
I had cooked potato pie and sauteéd some shrimp, along with some steam vegetables and I squeezed limes for lime juice. I had good news and knew this was worth celebrating. It was only a quarter past eight and I knew Terrence would walk through the door any second now and all I had to do was wait.
I waited.
And I waited.
And I fell asleep on the couch waiting.
%^%^%^%^%^%^%^I groaned as I felt my body moving. I forced my eyes opened and looked up at a very tried looking Terrence.
"Put me down." My voice was thickly laced with sleep and he looked down at me.
"Its okay, I'm just taking you to bed." I wanted to curl up against his chest but I was annoyed with him.
"Where were you?" He let out a sigh.
"I just want to go to bed."
"Were you with another woman?" He continued on his way and began going up the stairs. In my honest opinion, I didn't think he was with another woman actually, that was the least of my worries. It just so happened to be the only thing that came out of my mouth.
"No. I was at work and ended up spending longer than expected." He sighed.
"Why didn't you call? I made dinner." My voice sounded hurt even to my own ears.
"Cause my phone is dead. I know you did and I'm sorry to have stuck you up." He said and gently placed me on our bed. I looked up at him and frowned, slowly beginning to sit up.
"What's that?" I asked and pointed to a darkish spot on his hand as he took off his shirt.
"Nothing." He hissed and I flinched. I laid back down on the bed and turned my back to him, willing myself to sleep. "Gwyn." His voice was much softer as his body dipped on the bed.
"It's fine. I'm tired." I mumbled to him and kept my back to him. He sighed and slipped his hand below my body and slung the other over my midsection.
"It's nothing to worry about baby, I can assure you of that." I looked down at his right hand and rubbed my fingers along the skin around his bruise.
"Are you sure? It wasn't there last night." He flinched as I poked the spot.
"You mean when you were having your wicked way with me? No, it wasn't there." My jaw hit the bed.
"Me! Little 'ole innocent me. I've never had my wicked way with anyone." I pulled back my hand and placed it on my chest.
"The lies. Anyone before me that is, but I can assure you Mrs. Matthews, once in the mood you can be quite wicked." He kissed my cheek and then bit down. I squealed loudly and pushed myself further into the bed. "Hush now, you'll wake the neighbours." And he continued to assault my face with repetitive kisses.
Playful kissing turned into serious kisses and serious to urgent. My hands were skimming the back of his vest as his lips sucked on my neck and his fingers groped me all over.
"T." It was a moan, not a very sexual one but a moan none the less. His eyes looked up at me and my eyes stared at him. He opened his mouth to say something but my cell ringing cut him off.
"Ignore it." He growled.
"It could be work." I bit my lip.
"Work? Gwyn, it's after 10 in the night, no job is calling you now." He went back down to my chest and sucked on the skin just below my collar bone.
"Not unless I'm a stripper." I rolled my eyes. He stilled and raised his head to look at me.
"Can you pole dance?" I pursed my lips.
"I learnt how to. It was much easier than ballet." He blinked a couple times then eased to a sitting position and I looked at him.
"I wonder the cost of installing a pole in the bedroom, or maybe in the basement." I started laughing; side hurting, tears in eyes laughing.
"You're too much, really you are." I poked his side as I said this and his eyes skimmed my body. I wasn't in anything spectacular; just a strapless maxi dress, with no bra and a thongs.
"I'm serious. Watching you swing on a pole, jeez, I'm getting hard thinking about it." I laughed again and he climbed off the bed. "I need a cold shower." I raised my eyebrows at him but remained quiet. My phone chimed with a message and I hummed as he passed it to me before going into the shower. I unlocked it and glanced at the message that sprung up on the screen.
Unknown number: Hey, short notice, but are you free tomorrow? Marina.
She must've gotten my number from Nikolai.
Gwyn: Pretty much. Invite some of my friends and make it a girls lime?
Unknown number: Sure. See ya 😊
I went into the group chat that I had with April, Harley and Hadassah and tryped a quick message.
Gwyn: Lime tomorrow. Game? I didn't think I was going to get a reply now but obviously I forgot that Harley was one of these oh so spontaneous people.
Oddity: Time plz?????
And where????Gwyn: Will get back to you. Yay or nay?
Oddityy: Possibly Yay ~(^.^)~
I shook my head at her reply then messaged my cousin Malina to invite her also and see if she was game. Since it was so late I thought it best to get sone sleep.
However, sleep evaded me whole night even with Terrence curling on my side sleep did not come easier.
