All I ask is to go home
To go where my heart belongs
To where I belong
Because I know
That I don't belong here
I want to go were the spring breeze
Lifts my hair and caries it along
Where the birds sing the melody of my soul
The shadows casted by trees do not remind me of the darkness
But of the light
Where my friends are sisters
And my sister is a friend
The animals do not have fear in their eyes
Where the house I reside in
Is what I smell like
Where the grass dances with my body
Where the sky shows nothing but happiness
And the sun is smiling down at me
I want to go where the crickets dominate the sound of the night
The place where I rule my thoughts
Where I can let myself go
And be free
I can be as wild as the wind
Or as calm as the stream right at the end of my driveway
I could be as dangerous as lightening
I could be as kind as a mother bird
I could be as loud as a firework
Or as quiet as a rock
Here
In this place
Is where I can hear my heartbeat in everything
I can feel my senses awaken from their deep slumber
As if they were a bear awakening from hibernation
Here
My feelings come back
My heart goes from a tundra to a rainforest
Full of color and life
Here everything I have in enhanced
I need not be distracted by the virtual world because I am in love with reality
Here
My mother nature will take care of me
She will keep me safe and happy
When I think of a happy place
This is where I go
I go home
