"your next game is when?!!" I practically shout over everyone else in the room.

"7:45 am, Saturday morning" Josh says simply like it was nothing.

"yeah, I think that's one game that I'm going to have to skip"

"why?"

"do you not understand how early that is! I'm gonna have to wake up at like 7!"

"no, if you wake up at 7:30 then you can still make the game. and, you'll be in the comfort of your very own fuzzy pajama pants"

"you leave my fuzzy, green, monkey pajama pants out of this!"

"well I was the one who bought them for you"

"I know, they're the best gift I've ever gotten. thank you"

"you really like them?"

"yea"

"I know what to get you this year then"

"more!?? omygosh I love you!!" I said jumping into his arms.

Josh's POV.

"I love you too" I hesitated to say.

with her arms wrapped around me I put my arms around her and pulled her as close as possible without suffocating her. I wanted nothing more than for her to stay in my arms forever.

the worst part about those three words.. she didn't mean them the way I did.

Lizzy's POV.

I let go of him and he slowly lowered me back to the floor. I could see a hint of sadness in his eyes but I decided not to question it. My thoughts were interrupted by a 5'8 dirty blonde with dazzling green eyes and deep dimples calls for me.

"oh, look who it is" Josh whispers.

"no, Josh. please don't. don't leave me alone with him" I whisper harshly.

"do you remember that day in chemistry when we were pouring acid into water and then pouring it into powder to see what it does?"

"yea.?"

"and do you remember me asking if I could do some of it but you wouldn't let me?"

"yea.?"

"revenge is sweet"

"No. Josh don't!"

Josh's POV

I didn't want to leave her alone with him. I know what he's capable of, but I also know that she would never give into his sweet talk. that sort of stuff doesn't work on her.

"Josh please, I'm begging you. I'll do anything! just don't leave me alone with him. please"

"next time.. remember, treat people how you want to be treated"

"but.. -"

"hey Josh!"

"hey Ryan!"

"what's up man?"

"I was just about to leave so.." I looked over at Liz.

she murdered me with her mind several times before she put on her best fake smile and turned to greet him.

Lizzy's POV.

"hey there sexy" he looked me up and down several times while biting his lip. his third time completely down my body he licked his lips.

"hi Ryan" I shifted uncomfortably under his stare.

"I'm going to go now" Josh said and I sent him daggers. it didn't seem to faze him.

"yeah, I think that would be best for everyone" ryan said not taking his eyes off me for a second.

I looked at Josh in one last effort to make him stay, his smirk went down a little and he looked as if he was forced to leave.

'I'm sorry' flashed in his eyes over and over. he walked away leaving me alone with Ryan.
