chapter 30

Josh's POV

"okay, class. today we will be discussing the periodic table. i know you all know what that it. I'm hoping anyways. so, we will be mixing different elements and see which ones work together and form a compound or mixtures and which ones create a chemical reaction. okay, now-" Mrs. Weatherford's attention went to the door.

Liz walked in.

why is she late? she's always on time.

my question was answered when Hunter walked in behind her. he had an evil smirk on his face, it was for me. I could tell.

but set aside the smirk, he looked sad. disappointed. lost.

they took their seats. unfortunately, Mrs. Weatherford assigned them the seats next to each other.

he leaned over and.whispered in here ear. what the hell did he just say?! she laughed lightly, trying not to disturb class.

"Ms. James, Mr. Smith. do you care explaining why you're late?"

"well- " Liz began

"you see, Mrs. Weatherford. Elizabeth here was walking to school in the rain, I saw her and offered her a ride. she gratefully accepted, but while we were in the middle of the road this car spun out of control. it almost hit us. when it stopped spinning we got out to see if the people inside were okay. a baby was involved. I called an ambulance and they treated the family. we stayed to help and that is why we're late. I apologize" hunter said. all the girls were drooling. I rolled my eyes and the girl in the seat next to me slapped me on the arm.

"hunter, you can't just-" Liz whispered.

"I just said what she wanted to hear. if I said what really happened we would be in the office and get a call home. it would've been put on our record. do you really want that on a college application?"

"it wasn't that big of a deal. but if you did say what happened you would be a legend and I would be called a slut"

what!

"it was just a kiss" Hunter shrugged. "a great kiss" he added and Liz sighed.

"come on, baby. I know you enjoyed it" he said.

baby!?

"what is wrong with you? whenever it's just us you're the sweetest guy. but when people are around you're a total douche"

"today is a partner lab. you have one minute to find a partner, go" Mrs. Weatherford said.

I looked at Liz, but she was already with Amanda. I look and see Jackson.

I get up and walk over to his desk. on my way, I heard Liz say "and by the way, I'm not your baby ".

Lizzy's POV

"soo..  hunter?" Amanda says

I stay silent and focus of the chemicals.

"silence means yes" she says. I sigh and put the test tube in the test tube rack. "Amanda?" I say

"yes?"

"please, drop it"

"I can't"

"and why not?"

"because both of them have been staring at you this entire time and mouthing questions to me and I don't know which one to answer"

"what?"

"hunter and Josh"

I look behind me, just as she said, they're both staring at me. at least Josh was subtle about it and looked away when I met his eyes. Hunter on the other hand, put a smirk on his face and continued staring.

I turn back around and continue the lab.

"so which one?"

I stay silent, again.

"Lizzy, you can't ignore me forever"

"I don't know! okay, I don't know. I'm not even sure me and Josh are dating anymore and hunter gave me a ride to school and before class he kissed me. I don't know, okay"

"so the story was real!"

"No. not completely. he gave me a ride cause I was walking alone in the rain and were got to school a minute or two before the bell and he wouldn't let me go to class then he kissed me"

"was it good?"

"what?"

"the kiss! there's five minutes to get to class from each bell. not to mention two minutes later. that's seven minutes. a long time for a kiss. how was it?"

"long" I say simply and refuse to look up from the chemicals.

"well obviously! how was it!"

"can we not talk about this, please? we only have ten minutes to finish and we've only mixed three out of seven sets of chemicals and gases"

"oh, right. Lets get to work"

heyy. I'm making another story. @love_niall_forever it is the one that was on my laptop. I'm putting it on here so I can continue with it. but it's going to take a while to get to the part where I left off. if you read the first chapter if it you can probably tell how long it's going to take. I mean it leaves off where they're just leaving the house to go to the park. and I also changed it a little bit. so you can read it again if you want but you don't have to if you don't want to. you can wait until I'm at the part where you left off, which is really far away, if you want. it doesn't matter to me. it's your life.
