"Hey guys!" Jessie waved. "I'm officially using a face cam when I record! Exciting, right? For those of you who are new, welcome to Jessie's Corner! I'm Jessie! For my first video using a face cam, I'm going to play this little game called Until Dawn. I know, I'm extremely late to playing this, but now you guys can stop asking me to play!"

As Jessie played through the game, she didn't even have to remind herself to look at the camera; it was just an instinct, and she was wondering why she didn't do this before.

When she finally finished the first episode of Until Dawn, she paused the game.

"Okay, so that's all for today. Be sure to leave a comment below if you want me to continue playing! I honestly hate everyone but...Sam? Yeah, Sam, and Chris. Everyone else sucks." She laughed. "Before I end the video, I need to tell you about this awesome collab I did! Go over to UpUpDownDown – I'll leave a link in the description – and watch me play Pacman with Xavier Woods! If you've been watching this channel for a while, you'll know how big of a fan of his I am. Plus, you get to see me make a fool out of myself! Okay, have a good day, and I'll see you next time!"

Jessie turned off the camera and shut everything down. She checked her phone, and saw a DM from Austin, so she got onto Twitter to read it.

"I can't believe we forgot to give each other our numbers! We can't just DM each other all the time, you know?"

"You're totally right!"

After sending the DM, Jessie knew it was time to go to sleep. When she got home from work tomorrow, she would edit her video and upload it.

Three Months Later:

Jessie woke up to someone pounding on her front door.

She groaned, rolling out of bed. She checked her alarm, and saw she had another two hours to sleep, so whoever was knocking better have a good reason.

When she opened the door, she wished she could say she was surprised that it was Cheyenne. Jessie knew that for this semester, she was taking an 8 o'clock class, but she wasn't entirely sure why Cheyenne was at her house this early.

Jessie ran a hand through her hair. "What do you need, Chey?"

Cheyenne just grinned. "Happy birthday!"

Jessie just blinked. "What's the date?"

"February tenth, or as I like to call it: my best friend's birthday," Cheyenne replied.

"Oh. It is my birthday."

"You forgot your own birthday?" Cheyenne raised an eyebrow.

"What?" Jessie shrugged. "I've been busy."

"Well, I got you the best present ever," Cheyenne said. "So when you get off work, I'll be coming by to give it to you."

"Why did you have to tell me now?" Jessie asked, still annoyed about being woken up so early.

"I was on my way to class, so I figured I'd just drop by and tell you," Cheyenne replied, shrugging. "Now, I need to go. Happy birthday, Jessie!"

As Cheyenne turned around and walked away, Jessie replied, "Thanks, Chey."

Jessie shut her front door and walked back to her room. She unlocked her phone, and saw she already had numerous Facebook notifications from friends, wishing her happy birthday. If Cheyenne hadn't stopped by, she would've found out soon enough.
