Jessie opened the door and walked into her hotel room.
Cheyenne was laying on the bed, watching something on TV. It looked like one of those cooking competition shows, but Jessie couldn't be sure which one.
"Hey," Her friend greeted, never looking away from the TV.
"I'm going on a date."
Her reaction was slow, but a few seconds after Jessie said that, Cheyenne quickly sat up and looked at her.
"You're what?" She asked, unsure if she heard her right.
"I'm going on a date," Jessie repeated.
"You haven't gone on a date since college," Cheyenne pointed out.
Jessie crossed her arms and looked down at the ground. "I know..."
"Who are you going on a date with?" Cheyenne asked, but when Jessie didn't say anything, she asked another question. "Do I know him?"
Jessie mumbled an answer, but Cheyenne couldn't understand what it was.
"What was that?"
"Austin..."
"Ha!" Cheyenne shouted, standing up. Jessie looked up at her in confusion. She then realized that Jessie didn't know about the bet she had going with E. "Um... Someone may or may not owe me ten dollars now."
"Who owes you ten dollars?" Jessie asked. "And why?"
"E thought that you'd ask Austin out," She explained. "But I knew you, and I knew that Austin would have to ask you out." She paused. "Oh, and Kofi also owes me ten dollars because he didn't think you guys would ever go out."
"You guys are ridiculous." Jessie rolled her eyes.
"I won't deny that."
"I just have one small problem," Jessie said.
"What?"
"When I was packing, I didn't plan on going on a date," She said. "I only brought t-shirts and jeans."
"Don't worry," Cheyenne said, walking over to the dresser and grabbing the car keys. "I've got you. I won't be long, and when I get back, you'll be ready for this date."
After Cheyenne shut the door behind her, Jessie plopped down on the bed.

It hadn't even been an hour when Cheyenne returned.
She walked inside with a bag, and after setting the keys down, she smiled and turned around to look at Jessie.
"It didn't take long because once I saw this dress, it just screamed Jessie," She explained. "But, I do need to go back tomorrow, because there were a lot of dresses screaming my name, too."
"Can I see it?" Jessie asked, noticing that Cheyenne had started daydreaming about the dresses.
"Oh, yeah."
Cheyenne reached into the bag, pulling out the dress.
It was simple. The dress was white, and once she put it on, would probably stop above her knees. Cheyenne knew her friend didn't like flashy clothes, so this dress definitely did scream Jessie.
