Chapter Twenty-One

Jessie was beginning to learn that dating a wrestler was hard.

While she was stuck in boring ol' Los Angeles, Austin was out traveling the world and wrestling, and more importantly, not being with her.

In the few months (it was nearing five now) they had been dating, Big E and Kofi had somehow coaxed her number out of Austin, and she would receive texts from them, complaining about him talking about her, which apparently happened quite often, as she was getting texts from them almost daily, so that at least made her feel a bit better.

There was, however, one downside to the other two members of New Day having her phone number, and that was Big E texting her at random times a letter of the alphabet. It appeared that he was going in order, and they were currently on D. She tried questioning it the first two times it happened, but after A, he ignored her, and after B, Kofi sent her a text asking her to stop harassing E. She stopped after that.

Other than that, things were going okay. Austin had promised her that he would try coming out to LA soon, though it had yet to happen. Jessie understood, though, as he was pretty busy with the WWE and his YouTube channel. She couldn't go visit him, as she had work to do, and was traveling to Orlando once a month, so she only had so much time and money left.

So they simply waited.

Jessie currently sat at her computer, editing a video. Her phone, which sat on the desk beside her, vibrated, and she looked down to see a text from Cheyenne.

Below that notification was the one from YouTube, telling her about her boyfriend's newest video.

What is happening?

Jessie unlocked her phone, quickly taking to YouTube to see what was going on.

The video was filmed backstage at some arena, and she wouldn't be surprised if the two of them couldn't remember which one. Austin and Sasha stood in the center of the screen; he with a look like he just laughed, her with a cocky smirk on her face.

He clapped, like he usually did at the beginning of videos, and Sasha jumped slightly, her face turning from the smirk to a grin as she tried not to laugh at herself.

"Welcome to a very special video here on UpUpDownDown. Joining me is none other than The Boss, Miss Sasha Banks, who has a challenge for a certain someone."

She quickly brought her face to a frown, channeling her heel Boss character from NXT.

"You've got that right, Woods," She said, as she began walking closer to the camera. It zoomed in slightly on her, taking Austin out of the shot. "These guys over here are talking about who's the best at WWE 2K, and who do they bring up instead of me? Little Miss Jessie Nobody. Well, you know what? They're wrong, because The Boss is the best. I am the best in this locker room. But if you think you're the best, Jessie, and you want to prove it, I'm ready. Any time, any place."

And with that, Sasha flipped her hair over her shoulder and strutted away.

"All right, Jessie, you name a time and place, and Sasha will meet you there, and - "

"Not if I'm busy!" Sasha yelled from off-screen, and Jessie could hear the familiar laughter of Kofi.

"Okay, Sasha might meet you there. And we can decide once and for all, who is the best at WWE 2K17."
