Chapter 56 The Future

I watched as Shawn walked out onto the stage after Taylor announced his name. Before he walked out, he gave me a confused look. I know what she is doing since she let me in on it to make sure he gets on stage.

I pulled my phone out, and went onto to snap chat to video tape it.

The whole crowd started singing Happy Birthday to Shawn, and he started lightly laughing. Taylor swung her arms around directing the crowd Shawn's smile stayed on his face the whole time the crowd sung to him.

I took a ten second video, and saved it to my phone before adding a caption.

'My boy is eighteen today'

I added it to my story, and put my phone away to sing along to the very end of the song.

The crowd finished, and he walked back over to me giving me ear to ear grin. "Yay!" I screamed clapping my hands together at him.

He must of got my hint that I knew all about that the whole time since he picked me up, and spun me around laughing. "You brat! You didn't even tell me," he laughed.

"Guilty," I smirked grabbed his arm, and walking with him.

We both walked around backstage, and talked to some people as we walked by until Shawn realized what time it was. He quickly drug me back to the dressing room, and sat down on the couch. Not wasting any time he pulled his phone down, and started face timing someone.

I sat down next to him after hearing the ringing after a couple seconds. He smiled and looked at me. "I am suppose to face time Aaliyah," he smiled.

"Good so I can see her since I miss her way too much," I laughed leaning my head on his shoulder. The screen started saying connecting, and not too long after Aaliyah's face popped up onto the screen.

"Shawn! Happy Birthday!"

"Aaliyah happy not birthday!" Shawn mocked. They both had a little giggle, and Aaliyah looked in my direction.

"Hi Madisyn!"

"Hi Aaliyah," I giggled.

The two started talking, and I didn't want to intrude since they need to bond. It's good for their sibling relationship. Seeing the them makes me miss my brother.

It is so weird how close we have become. Ever since Magcon has started we have been closer. I think it might of had to do with him leaving so much, and me being an only child while he was gone.

We definitely weren't that close before all of this. Before we would argue and fight, but there were always those little moments we would get along. Now we are always telling each other everything, and doing stuff together. All I know with how far we are making it, we need to stick together. Family is everything, and I don't know what I would do with him.

Him and Kaylee are getting quite serious, and I am worried that they could make a choice to move to the next step.. Them getting a house.. I won't be able to handle not seeing my brother as often as I do now.

I know we both go on trips and stuff, but I am fine with that because I know we will end up seeing each other once it's over. If he moves out it won't be the same. I am just going to have to get over it since this is part of growing up.

I will have to learn how to be more independent. This is all life. Matt moving out with a girl friend, getting married, having kids, it is all part of life. Practically every one that has a sibling goes through this. Once the older one goes to college after high school, the younger one is stuck still at home.
