He came to the "corner" one day and I thought it was going to be like any other

But he came and said, "Let's go somewhere, I want to show you something"

Not thinking much about it, I left with him

He took me out of the city and to the outskirts, where the grass was tall and golden

Where the trees were vast and wide

"What are we doing here Calvin" I asked him, but I couldn't keep my eyes off the unfamiliar plain

I had never been outside the city before

He laughed and placed his hand on his hips, "I wanted to show you the outside, I'm sick of seeing you at that corner"

It was only a few minutes later that he took me back to that corner and since then, I always wanted to see that view again

I'm saving up to buy a car now

I'll use that twenty to see outside this damned city

I'll escape

Like he wanted
