"Hey, can I ask you something"

I looked up from my work and saw him staring at me, having his pencil roll down the desk into his hands

"Sure"

"How do you feel about gays" he asked

"They're alright, why do you ask"

"I know someone who is thinking of coming out but is scared that people will judge him," he said, still playing with his pencil

"I see, how does he know the people he cares about will judge him" I asked

"He doesn't," he suddenly looked up at me

I was oblivious to know he was talking about himself

"Well, then he should try coming out instead of worrying about something that may not happen"

He stared at me, slowly a smile pulling on his lips

"I'll tell him that"

"Good"
