I did what he wanted

I paid all my debts and with the money I had left over, I bought me a car

I spent that twenty

I bought a ring with it with his initials

The silver is always cold but I like it

I drove out the city and saw the trees and grass and bright blue sky again

I didn't stop there though

I kept driving and driving and driving, and didn't stop until I ran out of gas, and was stranded at the side of the road

A woman picked me up after that, and I never left her side

I wear two rings now

I also have a little boy

I named him Steven

I named him after Calvin's middle name

On my son's twelfth birthday, I gave him a twenty and said "Take it but spend it on something that will be with you forever"

He still has that twenty
