*1 MONTH LATER*
The thing about Aura is, she grows really fast. Already, she has a head of brown, curly hair and she can sit up.
She's defiantly not a normal child. She only drinks blood. Harry and I save some from our catches. I'm finally allowed to go out myself and catch animals. Harry would never let me for some reason.
We're doing a great job at keeping Aura a secret. Who knows what would happen if someone found her. And I don't want to risk anything. We're finally getting used to all of this.
Harry is a really good dad. I can tell how much he loves Aura.
Another thing about her is her looks. She has the tiniest fangs in the world, and her skin is pretty pale, no matter how much blood she gets. She has black rims around her eyes from time to time. I feel bad about putting her in this life.
She'll never be a normal girl with normal friends. She'll never go to school, or graduate, or get married. She may even have a really hard time finding a boyfriend. Which I feel bad about, but she seems pretty happy here.
One day I'm sitting on the couch, Aura in my lap. Shes messing with my necklace, playing with the charms. I grab her small hand and kiss her fingertips. She looks up at me with her big, red brown eyes. I smile and give her a small kiss to the nose.
Harry sits next to me, giving Aura a kiss on her head.
"Who's getting the blood today?" he asks.
I look over at him, then shrug.
"I dont know."
He sighed.
"Thanks for the help, baby." he says.
I smile. "Yep."
He stands up.
"Since I went last time, why don't you go?" he asked.
I let a puff of air out, then stand up.
"Fine. I'll be right back." I say, handing over Aura.
Harry sits back on the couch, bouncing her on one leg. She lets a small whine out and looks up at me.
"I know, I know. I'll be right back." I say, kissing her nose.
She lays the back of her head on Harry's chest, and I leave.
In a flash, I'm in the forest, my back pressed against a tree. My breathing is a little heavy. I look around the tree, and eventually find a deer. I bite my lip, and slowly get closer. The deer doesn't hear me. I crouch down, then my fangs grow. A small growl escapes my mouth, and I go.
In a flash, I grab the deer, toss it to the ground, and end it. After I get a good drink, I grab the bag I brought and filled it. I look around, being careful about anyone seeing me. Then in a second, I'm back at home.
Harry is still on the couch with Aura messing with his shirt. I smile.
"I'm back."
Harry smiles, grabs Aura, and we go to the kitchen. Harry has his own fill, then we put the rest of the blood in Aura's bottle. She drinks it pretty fast.
A few months ago, this would have been the most disturbing thing ever. But now that its my life, I have to learn how to live with it. And really, I'm starting to be ok with it.
