The days pass slowly. Time doesn't really mean anything anymore. Whenever we need food, I go with Harry and hunt.

I don't do that much. Harry catches the animals, and I help finish it. I'm not so sure I would be able to do it by myself. But I have to learn.

One day, after my shower, I walked downstairs and put my wet hair up in a ponytail. Harry found me and grabbed me, his face pressing against mine. I smiled and bit my lip.

"Harry?" I say.

"Hm?" he mumbled, kissing me up and down the neck.

"Do you think I could try getting food by myself? Im a really pathetic vampire, and I need to learn." I say.

He puts an arm around my shoulders.

"You're not pathetic, you're just new. And sure. You can go by yourself. But if you need me, just run home and get me." he says. I sigh and press my face against his.

"Thank you."

I smile and walk out the door.

"Good luck, baby." he says.

I wave and give a fake, nervous thumbs up. In my vampire speed, I race to the woods. My back presses against a tree and my breathing is heavy. I look around and find a raccoon. Quietly, I move closer. I'm trying to keep my breathing steady. My fangs had grown, probably out of hunger. My claws had come out. I'm so close.

My fangs show, and I crouched lower to the ground. The raccoon doesn't move. As I come closer, I try not to make the smallest sound. But my foot steps on a leaf. The animal saw me and ran away. I groan and chase after it. But it finds a hole and sinks down into it.

I dig a little, but its too deep. I groan and sit on the ground. My fingers run through my hair.

"Great." I say.

"Nice going, sweetheart." A voice from behind says.

I don't even have to turn around to know who it is. I would recognise that voice anywhere. I slowly turn my head.

"What do you want?" I ask.

Louis laughs and crosses his arms.

"Oh, nothing. I was just watching your amazing vampire powers."

I roll my eyes and stand up.

"Its not like I asked you to come into my bedroom, chase me down, and sink your stupid fangs into my neck. I didn't ask to be this way." I say.

He shrugs.

"Sorry, but you tasted so good. And yet you let Harry have the good stuff."

I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, well, thanks. Because of you, I've turned into the most pathetic vampire ever."

He nods. "I know. I noticed."

I glare at him.

"Please leave, so I can finish."

He laughs.

"Yeah. And how long is that going to take?"

I rub my arm. "Uh-"

He puts his hand up, stopping me.

"Point made."

I turn him around and push on his back.

"Go."

He looks back at me. "Alright, alright."

I watch Louis walk away. My arms cross and I look around for another animal. And after a while, it took three tries, but I finally caught a raccoon. And after that, I went back home.

"What took you so long?" Harry asked when he saw me.

I groan and join him on the couch.

"I am a pathetic vampire. I could barely catch a raccoon."

He put an arm around me.

"You'll learn. I promise."

I sigh. "I saw Louis."

Harry's body tensed up.

"What was he doing being close to you?"

I rest my head on his chest, calming him down.

"Its ok, Harry. He didn't try anything. And I made him leave. He can't hurt me anymore." I say.

Harry's arm wrapped protectively around my middle, pulling me closer.

"I don't trust him. He did this to you and he hurt you. I'm not letting him get near you again."

I nod and cling into his shirt.

"Never leave me. I need so much help." I say.

Harry runs his fingers through my hair.

"Never."
