She came so fast.

It was a huge shock, and I defiantly wasn't even close to being ready. She was born in our bedroom, right on the bed. It wasn't the greatest experience of my life, but it was a relief to get it over with.

Harry delivered her, and it surprised me how good he did, and how calm he was. She is so small, and her skin is almost white. That worried me, but according to Harry its ok.

Shes already growing soft, curly hair. Not a surprise. But she sure was.

How was I supposed to know she would come this fast? When I said I was ready, I didn't mean right now. I don't know what I meant. All of this was happening so fast. It was a little too much for me to handle.

Harry has her, and is looking down on her protectively. I'm on the bed, watching him. We named her Aura. We wanted a unique name. I layed on my stomach, happy I could lay facedown again.

Aura hasn't cried yet, which is weird. But what do I know about vampire babies? Well I need to learn if I want to be a good mother. That's still sinking into me that I'm a mother now. And Harry's a father. A daddy to his little girl.

I smiled as I watched him. He smiled once in a while, and his thumb rubbed softly against her cheek. I sit up and sit crosslegged.

"I guess every day has a surprise, huh?" I ask.

Harry looks up at me, a half smile on his face.

"I guess. But this one is beautiful."

I smile and reach my arms out. Harry smiles and sits on the bed next to me. He placed Aura in my arms. I held her small body, smiling as she slept. Her long eyelashes were absolutely gorgeous.

"Harry, where is she going to sleep?" I ask.

He bites his lip nervously and stands up.

"Ok, how about I go get a crib? I'll be right back, my babies." he says, giving us both a small kiss.

I giggle a little and blush.

"You have money?"

He shakes his head. "No, but I can easily get some."

I dont question him, I just nod. He hesitates, then leaves in a flash. I sigh and scoot to the front of the bed, pressing my back against the headboard.

I look down at Aura, kissing her forehead.

"Ok, baby girl. I'm going to try my best, here. I promise to not let anything happen to you. And be patient with me. I'm new to this." I tell her.

Her eyes open, and she shows me her big, beautiful, sparkling green eyes. I smile and run my hand over the top of her head.

"I'm sorry you had to be born like this. But we'll figure all this out somehow."

She lifts her arm up to her face, then sucks on her thumb. Her other hand grabs onto my finger, holding on tightly.

"I love you." I say, almost in a whisper.

She is so beautiful. And she's mine.

My little girl.
