*2 MONTHS LATER*
Aura is about the size of a two year old now. She's growing so fast, its hard to keep up with her. We constantly have to buy new clothes since she grows out of them quickly.
She doesn't talk very much, but she is really sweet when she does.
Harry takes her hunting most of the time. I think shes more comfortable hunting with him anyway.
We've almost gotten caught a few times. There was one time we were at the park, and Aura almost lost her control. She brought her favorite toy along, and another little girl became curious and tried to pick it up.
Aura's fangs came out and she yanked the toy back, knocking the little girl onto her back. She started crying, and Harry took Aura away before anything else could happen. I apologized to the girl's mum and we decided to go home after that.
Aura needs to learn not to do that when she gets angry. Harry's told her many times. I guess its just a little harder for her to concentrate on acting normal. She was born this way, so I guess she thinks this is how everyone is. Which makes me sad, because she'll never be a normal girl.
I had her one day while Harry was out. I held her hand as we walked around. She pointed out different people, animals, and trees. She was really interested in people walking dogs.
There was one time we even stopped so Aura could pet someone's husky. I was tensed up the entire time, praying she wouldn't do anything to the animal, or the person for that matter. But she was really good and really friendly. She smiled and pet the dog, laughing when it licked her face.
"Ok, Aura. Let's go." I say, taking her hand again.
"Shes very sweet." The lady who owned the dog said.
I smiled and picked Aura up. "Thank you. And sorry if she bothered you."
The lady shook her head.
"No, she didn't bother me. Does she have a dog of her own?"
I bit the inside of my lip, then nervously smiled.
"Oh. No, we dont have any pets."
The lady nodded. "Well, nice meeting you Aura." she says.
Aura smiles, looking more innocent than she ever has. I smiled and turned the other way.
"You were so good." I say, poking her tummy.
She giggles and holds onto my shirt. We walk home, where Harry was waiting with our lunch.
