*6 DAYS LATER*
Ok. I'm very tired of being here. It feels like prison. We're pretty much being treated like animals in the zoo. And now I suddenly feel very bad for animals in zoos.
Aura hates it here more than any of us. Shes always running around the room, probably trying to find a way out. She has no toys, no blankets, no pillows, nothing. We can't even change clothes. I personally find this place discusting and cruel.
If they're planning on doing something with us, why cant they just do it?
About an hour after lunch, someone tapped on the window. Harry and I looked up at the man, and stood up. We walked over to the glass, and the man opened the window a bit.
"There are some visitors here to see you."
His words shocked me a little. Who would visit us? Then it snapped into me. My family. My friends. Harry's friends maybe.
My stomach filled with knots and I looked over at Harry, who had the same worried look on his face.
"Uh, alright." I say, leading us to the door.
Harry grabbed Aura and we let the man lead us out. I was pretty much shaking, I was so nervous. So we have been on the news. Pictures of us have been shown. We aren't hidden anymore.
We made it to a new room, a much bigger room I must add. And right when the door opened, I saw them.
I haven't seen these faces in so long. And this time, they're full of shock. My friends, they looked horrified. It made me sad. No one was here for Harry I noticed. I guess they're all grown up and barely remember Harry anyway, so that doesn't surprise me.
I saw my grandparents and aunts and uncles terrified faces when they saw me. I licked my teeth and realized my fangs were out. Hopefully that was the only part of me not normal looking.
"Naomi?" one of my aunts said, breaking the awkward silence.
Out of habit, I stepped back, closer to Harry.
"Don't be scared." I say, making them jump.
The only one who knew I was like this was my mother. And she was staying silent as a rock over in the corner. They all stared at me, shocked.
"Wh-what? We thought you were-"
"Dead." I finished for my friend, almost in a whisper.
Everyone looked at each other, then back at me.
"Stop staring. We aren't monsters. We wont hurt you." I say.
Harry put a hand to my back, running his fingertips up and down.
"Then what are you?" My uncle asked.
I looked at Harry, then back at them. "I think you know what we are." I say, showing them my fangs.
They looked even more nervous, and that upset me.
"But we wont hurt you. Promise." I say, giving them a smile to calm them down.
Then one of my friends finally snapped into reality. Her jaw dropped and she pointed at Harry.
"He-hes the boy you told me about. The one you met at your grandmas." she said.
I nodded.
"We have a lot of explaining to do."
—
We told them everything. It took a very, very, very long time for everyone to finally understand. They're just having a hard time letting this all sink in, but I understand.
