Light Side (Sequel to Dark Side)

Chapter 22

They drove us to some weird looking building. They lead us out, then into the cold building.

We were lead down a hall, and into a large room with many other people inside. Then I realized they weren't people. They were all vampires.

All of them had red brown eyes and fangs, some even had their full vampire looks. But I guess no one has to hide anything anymore.

"Stay here." The man said, letting our arms go.

They closed the thick door behind them, locking us in. Like animals. They all looked at us, probably shocked to see a vampire couple, especially with a baby. We nervously walked toward everyone. Then I saw them.

Louis and Liam.

So, they're here too. And they saw us.

"Hey there." Liam said as they walked toward us.

"How did you get caught?" Harry asked them, putting Aura down on the floor.

She stood in the middle of us and took my hand.

"They saw us in the forest. Apparently two guys attacking a deer isn't normal." Louis said.

I looked down, not wanting to cry. This is what I've been afraid of ever since Aura was born.

"What are they going to do to us?" I asked, wanting anyone to answer.

"I hear they're going to run tests on us, ask us questions, and a lot of other unneeded things. Probably cage us in some laboratory." A guy said, walking over to us.

He had such an intimidating image, with his tattoos and messy black hair, along with the silver earrings he has.

"Really?" I asked.

He nodded, putting his hands in his pockets.

"This is Zayn, by the way." Louis says, pointing to the boy.

I nodded.

"You guys are a couple? That's different." Zayn says.

We nodded.

"Well we're not exactly normal." Harry said.

Zayn nodded. "True."

We walked over to everyone. They all seemed so nice, so normal. But we aren't. We're far from normal. We must have been there for an hour before the door opened again. Everyone faced the men walking in.

"We're going to have to ask you all some questions. And we're also going to have to ask the men and women to separate."

That's when my stomach dropped. I grabbed Harry's arm, begging him not to go. But the men were already here, and they were already taking the guys away. Harry handed me Aura, and tears slipped out of my eyes.

"Harry, please don't go." I say, crying.

He gave me a long, loving kiss then looked into my shiny eyes.

"We'll be together again soon, I promise." He said, cupping my face.

His thumbs brushed over my cheeks, wiping my tears away. Then he kissed Aura on the forehead, looking protectively over her.

"I'll see you soon, sweetheart." he said.

After one more kiss to the lips, he turned the other way.

"I love you." I said.

He looked back, blew me a kiss, then left with all the guys, leaving me alone. I held Aura tighter as I watched them leave, Harry's beautiful eyes meeting mine one more time before he left. I couldn't help it. I sunk to my knees and cried. My breathing was short, and tears were raining down my face.

"Hey, it'll be alright." A sudden voice said.

I looked up and saw a girl who looked about my age.

"What are they going to do to them? That's my boyfriend!" I say, standing up.

I almost ran toward the door, but the girl caught me.

"He'll be fine, I promise. I'm just as worried as you." she said.

I wiped my eyes and looked at her.

"What's your name?" I asked her.

She ran her fingers through my hair.

"Perrie. What's yours?"

"Naomi." I told her.

She nodded.

"Hey, everythings going to be ok, I promise." She said, hugging me.

I don't even know this girl, but I hugged her back.

"I'm right there with you. Kind of. I have a crush on Zayn. I saw you met him." Perrie said.

I nodded.

"Yes. He seems lovely." I said.

She smiled, but I could see the pain in her eyes.

"They'll be ok." I say, still wanting to cry.

Perrie and I stayed close. I felt her and I felt the same way, I was just probably hurting a little more.

The door opened again, and we all looked at the lady entering the room. She walked past everyone and stopped at me.

"Excuse me, could we please see you daughter here?" she asked.

I held Aura closer, refusing to let them take her. I backed away, letting them know I don't want her to touch Aura.

"No. You cant." I say.

"Mam, please. We just need to check a few things. I promise, we'll bring her right back." She said, trying to calm me down.

"How am I supposed to trust you?" I asked.

Aura looked at the lady, then back at me.

"I promise we'll bring her back. We wouldnt dare do anything to her, considering how little she is. She'll be in good hands, we just need to see a few things." She said.

"I swear if you hurt her I'll-"

"We wont hurt her. I promise." she said.

After about ten minutes of that, she won. She took Aura away from me, and I instantly regretted it. When she was gone, I turned around and started crying again.

Perrie hugged me around the shoulders.

"It'll be ok." she said.

I took a while to calm down, then the men took us out of the room. We were sat on chairs, and one by one we were taken into a room for questioning. My legs were bouncing as I sat, and Perrie tried to calm me down.

I missed Harry and Aura so much, and I didn't even want to imagine what they're doing. My face buried into my hands, and tears fell down my face. I sniffed, and I didn't really care who saw me.

Men were walking down the line, and made us stand. They were asking us all questions, and some girls were vicious. One girl lashed out her fangs and struck at a man, but they stopped her and actually hit her. It made me cringe.

They passed me, but noticed I was crying. But I dont think they care that much. A couple of other girls almost lost it, and they all got hit or smacked across the face. One was kicked, and she fell to the floor in pain.

I was very mad at every single one of them. My eyes flashed red, and my fangs had grown. My claws were out, and I almost lost control.

Eventually, it was my turn to enter the dark questioning room.
