*2 DAYS LATER*

Finally, it was my turn to hunt. I felt such a rush running to the forest. The wind was in my hair, and I felt so good.

I smiled as I ran. I was going so fast no one could see me. I made it to the woods, then immediately smelled blood. The smell made its way through my body, sending a chill through my spine.

I inhaled, then my claws came out, along with my fangs growing. There was rustling in the bushes, and a smile crept across my face as I moved closer and closer. My breathing was heavy, but I tried to stay silent. My hands were starting to shake, and my claws were dangerously sharp. Then I saw the deer.

I let a small hiss, then struck. It happened quickly. I had my own nice drink, then I packed the rest of the blood away. I hid it under my jacket then decided to walk back to the house.

I looked around at some people smiling, laughing, enjoying their lives. Some looked my way, confused looks on their faces. I hid the bag of blood more under my arm. Also under the jacket. I was tired of the stares, so I went back to vampire speed.

The wind whipped through my hair, and I was almost home. Until I ran right into someone, knocking us both down. All I heard was a slight cry of pain, then I looked up from the ground and saw a girl, holding onto the side of her head. Her eyes were worried, scared. I knew that look all too well. We stared at each other for so long. Finally, she spoke up.

"What the hell?"

I stood up in a panic. There was blood on the side of her head from where I hit her. My fangs were growing, and my claws were returning. I opened my mouth, but no words came out. Then she saw my fangs.

Quickly, she scrambled to her feet and backed away from me. I could feel the black rims around my eyes coming back. The girls eyes grew.

"Are you ok?" she asked, backing away even more.

I was breathing heavily from stress, then I backed away myself.

"I-uh-"

She wouldn't quit staring at me. Like I'm a monster. I know what I am, and I'm tired of everyone instantly hating me and judging me. My anger was boiling at her confused face.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" she asked.

That's it.

My fangs had returned, and so had my entire vampire look. My claws showed, and I walked closer. She was scared. But that's what I want. I hissed, my sharp teeth showing. She screamed and ran away, looking back once. I let out a small growl, then ran back home. Before I opened the door, I finally came to my senses.

What have I done? I let someone see me. I almost killed her. And that made so much guilt build up inside of me.

Small tears slid down my cheeks, and I sniffed. Finally, I opened the door and let Aura run over to me. I gave her a smile, despite how horrible I felt. I got the blood and set it down on the table. Harry appeared, smiling. Then he stopped.

"What's wrong?"

How did he know? He must see it in my eyes. I looked down, then when the first tear fell, I broke. He took me in his arms, and I clung to him as I cried.

"Baby, what is it?" he asked.

I sniffed and buried my face into his chest.

"Someone saw me. I almost lost control. Harry, I scared her. I almost killed her." I choked out.

Harry ran his fingers through my hair, calming me.

"It happens Naomi. I know its scary to think of yourself in this way, losing control. But the thing is, you didn't. Remember that. You did not lose control." he says, cupping my face.

His thumbs brushed over my cheeks, wiping my tears away. Aura made a small noise, signaling she's thirsty. I wiped my eyes, smiled, and lifted her up.

"I know baby. I've got it here." I say, showing her the bag.

Her tiny fangs grew a little, then her eyes turned red brown. I set her in her highchair and Harry fed her, then himself. I sat on the couch, thinking.

Harry climbed in next to me after setting Aura down to play. He kissed my neck, trailing his soft lips up and down. I grabbed onto his hand, squeezing his fingers.

"Calm down, baby. Its alright. Nothing happened". he told me.

I bit my lip, holding in my emotions.

"But she saw me. She knows we're here." I say, looking into Harry's green eyes.

He rested his cheek on my head.

"No, she doesnt. She's probably still in shock. Just relax. Everythings going to be fine." he says.

I nod, trying my best to believe him. But the guilt is still eating at me. What if someone suspects something and finds us? I squeezed Harry's hands tighter at the thought. And when Aura looked into my eyes, I held back everything I had not to cry.
