It's been a few days since everything happened. Niall's texted a few times but I haven't answered. I haven't really talked to anyone really. I've been practicing basically non-stop. I don't really know what every one else has been doing because I come home and go to my room. I'm not hurt anymore it's just best this way. I should probably go see if Bree is home though, just to make sure everything's okay and to let her know I'm okay. I walk down the stairs and hear multiple voices. Once I get inside the dining room, I walk right back out cause Niall is in there. We make eye contact but I break it immediately. I go to the kitchen and grab a glass.
"I'm sorry." Bree says.
"No it's okay. You are friends and I can't tell you that he can't come here." I say.
"No, I know that it hurts you and that's wrong of me. I truly am sorry. I'll ask him to leave." She says and I shake my head.
"No, don't. I want him to know that he didn't break me down. That I'm fine." I say and she nods, leading me in the dining room. I sit at the far end like I always do.
"So Kaylee, what are your plans for the day?" Mariah asks.
"You should know." I give her a small smile and she nods.
"Hey, we should come with you!" Devin's says, wide smile spreading on her face.
"Yeah, if you want. No boys though." I say.
"Oh it's okay. I was gonna go hang out with Tony and Michael anyways. Wanna come Niall?" Harry offers.
"Can I talk to you first Kaylee?" He asks. I look him dead in the eyes.
"There's nothing to talk about." I shrug and go upstairs.
He may have something to say but I don't, and I don't necessarily want to listen either. I change quickly. Mark has called me three times, so I send him a quick text before finishing getting ready to go. When I put my phone down, someone knocks on the door.
"It's open." I yell. I walk into the bathroom, and feel someone lean against the door.
"Look, Kaylee I'm so sorry. I just want you to know that I'll always be sorry, even after you forgive me, well if you forgive me." He explains. I roll my eyes. I don't actually want to forgive him, but I do want him to stop saying sorry.
"Forgiven." I say and turn to him. Then I walk past him and grab my practice bag.
"Okay cool. So we're good?" He asks.
"Good." I nod. Maybe a part of me really does want to go back to the way we were. But a bigger part of me knows it won't last.
"Great. So where you going?" He asks. Ugh this again?
"Places." I shrug and walk out of the room. He follows closely behind me.
"Guys, I'm leaving." I yell.
"Coming!" They all say.
We pack into the SUV, Harry and Niall in Harry's car. I sigh in relief when they go the opposite way as us. I just hope today makes me feel better. Practicing always makes me feel better. It always does.

Bree's P.O.V.
Watching Kaylee practice makes me think. She really is good. She has the chance to go so far with this. I just wish everyone knew so that I could talk to Harry about it. Kaylee's hobby got me to partially lie to Harry about where I go when I'm with her, and that bothers me.
I find my self thinking about Harry now. How cute he is with his curly hair and green eyes, and that smile that gets me every time. Just picturing his smile makes me smile. I casually look around the rest of the place wishing he was here, when I actually see him. Wait. What is he doing here? Oh no! This is not good, whatsoever! I frantically get up, hoping he doesn't see me.
"Guys." I whisper to Mariah and Devin. "We have a problem." They look to me confused and I point to the four boys checking in at the front desk. I turn around and Harry is looking at me with a confused expression, his eye brows furrowing. Ugh so cute. I make my way to the door and greet him.
"Hey babe, what are you doing here?" He hugs me. I look from him to the girls to Niall, then Tony, then Michael.
"Um, we came to pick up my family friend!" I say with a forced smile.
"Where's Kaylee?" Niall asks.
"She's stud-" I cut off Mariah and look at her with an evil eye.
"In the bathroom. Kaylee is in the bathroom." I cover.
"Okay? Well can we meet your friend?" Tony asks.
"Um, he's kind of busy right now." I say nervously.
"Is he more than your friend?" Harry asks and backs up.
"No, god no." I say quickly.
"Well then why can't meet him? And why is Kaylee taking so long?" Niall asks and tries to push past us. We build a wall and look at them with smiles.
"Yeah, why can't we meet him?" Tony asks. Thy find their way around and Devin covers the door to the room. We all kind of just sit there awkwardly.
"Let us in. I still don't know where Kaylee is." Niall says and steps forward.
"No." Devin says.
"Why?" Tony asks getting incredibly close to her face.
"B-because I have to tell you something." She says in a panic.
"What is it?" He asks. She takes a deep breathe and finds words to say. "Well? I'm waiting." He gets closer.
"I like you okay!" She almost yells. He moves back a little, then smirks and kisses her. Before we know it, he takes over her body and moves her away from the door.
"Way to go Devin." I mumble and I know Mariah heard me cause she giggles. I look back at the right time to see Niall going into the room.
"Dammit." I say under my breath and me and Mariah follow him into the room.
Niall's jaw is basically laying on the floor and his face is pail. I watch as everyone else piles into the room and their facial expressions go from confused to immediate shock as all their jaws drop and we watch Kaylee for a couple minutes. I look to Harry guilty and he just grabs my waist and pulls me closer to him. Niall is still in the same position and is completely still, color drained from his face. I wait for hell to break loose.
Kaylee's P.O.V.
"Okay break." Mark says and I take a deep breathe.
"Hey one of you guys want to bring me my-" I start to say, but stop immediately as I turn around see Niall's face. Bree is looking at me sympathetically. "Shit." I say.
"Surprise!" Mariah claps.
"Mariah, not the time." Bree says to her and gently back hands her arm. Devin is beat red and Tony looks ammused.
"You box?" Niall looks like he's gonna fall to the floor. I shrug and get out of the ring.
I make my way to my bag and take out my water bottle.
"Why are you here?" I ask him and he turns around and gains a little more color on his face.
"I came here to work out with the lads, and Harry saw Bree through the window." He explains and I nod slightly.
"Great." I sigh.
"This is what you were hiding from all of us?" He asks. I nod.
"Yeah. This is why I don't get involved with guys. Because they always think I'm too manly." I look down.
"I think it's hot." Niall smirk and sits by me. We all kind of just sit here awkwardly.
"So this is your family friend, huh? She is certainly not a guy." Harry laughs.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
"I kind of told them that we were picking up my family friend so that they wouldn't come in here. Yeah, that didn't work so well." She looks down.
"Now I know what you were thinking when I asked you if she was more than your friend." Harry jokes and Bree pushes him away. A part of me wishes I could have a cute relationship like that, but the other doesn't care.
Mark comes back in and was gonna say something but he looks at all of us just sitting here. Niall is still trying to process what he found out, Bree and Harry are talking about how he should know that she's not involved with anyone else. Devin and Tony are just standing there looking at each other. Devin looks embarrassed and Tony has a smirk on his face. Mariah and Michael are flirting and laughing together. And I am just hoping they leave so I can practice.
"Kaylee, ready?" He asks.
"Yep." I sigh and get up.
"Can we stay and watch you practice?" Niall asks. I shrug.
I really don't care what they do. This doesn't change things for me. I mean, they were bound to find out sometime, considering I have a huge public fight in a couple weeks. I just wish they would have found out a different way. Thoughts run through my head on what I'm supposed to do in order to win while we train. After we're done Mark pulls me to the side so no one can hear us.
"I take it your friends found out?" He asks. I nod.
"If they're your real friends, they'll still love you." He says.
"I know they will. That's not what I'm worried about. I just don't like it when people know too much about me." I say.
"Well get used to it sweetheart, because in a few weeks, the whole state, maybe even country will know what you do." He laughs.
"That's different, they don't know who I am on the inside." I say.
"By what you show me, there's not much to know on the inside. Open up a little Kaylee. Especially to those people over there." He gestures the girls and guys talking and laughing.
"Okay fine! When I was little my mom and dad broke up. After that my dad would only let me visit when he was completely available. He didn't show up to my 16th birthday, no call, no text, no 'happy birthday' wishes, nothing. That's why I'm so blocked up. I can't trust anyone else." I explain.
"You trust me enough to tell me." He points out.
"You told me to open up! I can hide everything else from you too!" I tease.
"No, I'm glad you trust me." He laughs.
"You're like the father I never had!" I joke.
"Alright, hey listen. My son wants to meet you. I was just wondering if it's cool is he comes to the gym after your fight?" He asks.
"Yeah, that's fine. Why can't he come watch me fight?" I ask.
"He has to go to his mothers family get together thing." He says. I nod and we say our good byes before I walk over and grab my stuff.
"Where are you going?" Niall asks.
I ignore him and answer his question by walking into the locker room. I grab my soaps and head for a shower. This should be a fun night.. Not.
