I slowly wake up and I feel a little better than I did last night. I hear Ashton's steady breathing next to and I decide that if I'm awake, so is he. I wiggle him, but he just grunts and repositions, strengthening his grip on me.
"Ashton, babe wake up!" I say loudly.
"Ashton, let go!" I whine.
"Ashton, I'm getting out of bed now!" I yell. Nothing.
"Ashton, I have to pee." Again his grips tightens.
"Ashton!" I poke his cheek. He just flinches as he snores softly. I sigh.
With out thinking any longer, I scream as loud as I can. Ashton's eyes shoot open and he pulls me in his lap. He thinks I'm crying but I push away and throw my head back in laughter. He frowns and I laugh even harder.
"It's not funny!" He whines.
"Yeah, you should've seen your face." I laugh more.
Soon enough I hear foot steps running towards my room and Bree, Harry, Mariah, Michael, Devin, and Tony barge in.
"The fuck happened?" Devin breaths.
"I was waking Ashton up." I say, still laughing.
"She scared the shit out if me." Ashton huffs. Soon Bree, Devin, and Mariah break out in laugher too. Ashton places me on the bed and him the boys walk out. We're still laughing but soon stop and they sit on my bed.
"So, what happened last night?" Devin asks.
"Um, Devin. I was uh.. Kind of pregnant.." I whisper.
"What?" She looks angry.
"I was going to tell you when I told Mariah, but you didn't take my attempts to get your attention." I defend.
"So I was the last one to know?" She sneers.
"Between us four, yes." I tell her honestly.
"Did Ashton know?" She asks.
"He was the second person to find out." I say.
"And it was Alex's?" She asks.
"Yes." I say lowly.
"Who was the first to find out?" She asks.
"Bree, then Ashton, then Harry, then Mariah, and now you." I say.
"Wait Harry knew before us?" She added.
"He's basically been living here. It's hard not to find out." I defend again. "And besides, it's my secret, I'll tell who I want. I tried to tell both you and Mariah multiple times." I huff
"I thought we were closer than that." She scolds.
"Yeah so did I. Considering Mariah's not mad at me, yet you are, when I need you most." I say. She lets out a huff and gets up and walks out of my room.
"She'll get over it, Kaylee." Bree and Mariah say in unison.
"I don't even care." I roll my eyes.
We all head down stairs and head to the kitchen.
"So I take it your feeling better?" Bree smirks at me.
"It still doesn't feel the best knowing that I lost my child, but I can say that I feel so much more energized." I say.
There's not much more to say. I know that there should be, but there's not. I don't remember the last time I actually felt this good. It's been almost three months since my life was really simple. You know? No one to open to, no one to meet, no fights with my friends, or anybody for that matter, because boxing was just taking flight. But now it seems as if every time I turn around, another bomb goes off and I have to fix it somehow, but I never know how any more. I just let things settle themselves, which is what everyone else does, and it seems to be working out for the best for me and the people I care about so why not continue this way right?
