Kaylee's P.O.V.
We get to my house and I immediately get out. I really don't want to stay in these clothes for much longer. I walk inside and there's a weird feeling. Just as I started walking to the stairs a shit ton if people step out, scaring the shit out of me. Like wtf?
"SURPRISE!" They scream. I start to fall but large hands grip my waist and keep me steady. I find my balance and push them away from me.
"You all scared the shit out of me." I yell in a joking way while they laugh. I look to my left and I see my family. "Momma!" I give her a hug.
"Hi sweetie. You did awesome, now let's party!!!" She kisses my cheek and walks to the kitchen. I say hi to the rest of the people and head upstairs. Someone grabs my hand.
"Going to your room?" Ashton asks.
"To change." I huff.
"Hurry down." He winks and I continue on my journey.
I walk into my room and set my stuff on my bed. I change into white shorts and a black, casual tank top. I ruffle my hair out a little and add some eyeliner and mascara. I don't really feel like I needed to, but I do anyways. I make sure that I look okay and head down stairs. Of course my mom is already taking shots. I laugh at her and she mouths me to shut up. I stick my tongue out at her. We make small conversation and I suddenly feel two large hands wrap around my torso.
"If I may?" He smirks at my mom. She nods and winks at me.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Out." He smiles.
"No, this is my party, I won't leave." I stop walking.
"Come on." He sighs and grabs my hand. I harshly yank it out and cross my arms at him.
"No. I'm not leaving." I say.
"Then, we'll go outside for some fresh air." This time he puts one of his hands on the small of my back.
He pushes me to the side doors that lead to a patio. I jump up on the railing and watch him intently. He's wearing black skinny jeans and a plain white V-neck t-shirt. His tattoos stand out more in the daylight than they do in the dim light of my living room at 1 in the morning. He pauses for a minute looking at me in 'awe' and I examine the tattoos on his arms. He grabs my hips and pushes me back, only to catch me when I flinch and fall forward into him. He cups my thighs as my legs involuntarily wrap around his waste.
"Saved your life." He smiles and looks in my eyes. I blush and look down. Then realize he's still holding me and I unwrap myself from him and get down. His hands move my lower back to keep me from leaving his grip. He leans up against me into the railing and acts as if nothing just happened, and we aren't standing like this.
"So, how are you?" He asks.
"I'm okay and you?" I ask.
"I'm great. Why are you just okay?" He asks and looks at me confused.
"I'm being pinned up against a railing." I remind him.
"Oh are you? That sucks." He smirks. I shove him, only for him to stand still. He's pretty strong.
"So, does your dad teach you to box?" I ask.
"He's actually my step dad, but yes, he did. I train littler kids now." I look at him apologetically.
"I'm sorry." I look down.
"You didn't know. You have nothing to be sorry for." He reassures me.
"Oh. I'm sorry I didn't tell you then." I look at him teasingly.
"Tell me what?" He pretends to not know. I shove him a little more forcefully this time, and he's a little taken back. "Oh, got some strength now do we." He laughs and holds up his hands like us boxers do.
