Chapter 43

Harry's POV

"Hello?" She answers.

"Hey mum, it's me." I say.

"Harry! Honey how are you?" She says. I can hear her smile through the phone.

"Great. I have some good news." I can't help but smile at her excitement.

"What is it?" She sounds so happy. I miss seeing her happy.

"I'm coming to visit. In two months. And I have someone I want you to meet." I smile just at the thought of Bree.

"You are? That's great! What about Anna?" She asks. Fuck I forgot about her.

"We aren't together anymore. Besides, I've found someone that truly makes me happy, okay? You'll love her I promise." I say.

"That's not what she's telling everybody here." She trails off. "And what's this girls name? Do you love her?" She's always been so damn curious.

"Shit. She told me she moved. I'll handle it. And her name is Bree. And I don't know.. Maybe." I answer.

"Oh well I'm excited to meet her. You better figure out what to do with Anna." She says.

"I will." I huff and hang up.

Truth is, I'm not going to do anything about Anna. I'm just gonna tell her to stay away from my mums house and go from there. If she shows up, I hope to god she doesn't go all 'I missed you baby' on me. Or we're going to have problems. Major problems, because Bree will flip her shit.

Kaylee's POV

"Ashton! Let's go!" I yell upstairs to get him to hurry. We're going to have lunch with Mariah, Michael, Raven, and Luke.

"Ready?" He says coming down the stairs.

"I've been ready." I scold at him and he gives me that 'I'm sorry' look.

We drive to the small restaurant and we don't have to say who we're meeting because Raven and Luke are already here.

"Hey guys!" Ashton smiles. I give a small wave and sit across from Raven, Ashton across from Luke.

"Kaylee! It's been a while. How have you been?" Raven asks.

"It's been a week, but I've been good. How have you been?" I say politely.

"Great! Are you and Ashton going with Luke and Calum back to Australia?" She asks.

"When are they going?" I ask.

"They're leaving next week." She answers.

"Oh no. Ashton and I are going out at the end of summer." I tell her.

"Oh that works! I can hang out with you guys then. Luke won't let me go." She frowns.

"Yeah, of course. We'll just be doing what we always do. Maybe even go out a little more, since we'll all need a distraction." I say referring to Devin and her disappearance. She looks at me confused and I shake my head. "Never mind. You're welcome any time you'd like." I assure her and she smiles.

A few seconds later Michael and Mariah make it and Michael sits on the end by Luke and Ashton, Mariah on the other end by Raven and I. Soon after the waitress comes up and takes our orders. I can't help but use my curiosity.

"So Riah, have you heard from Devin?" I ask.

"Uhm, here and there but not often. When we have talked she just wanted to make sure we were all okay." She answers.

"How is she?" I ask. I know I said I didn't care. But she was a big part of our lives and I can't help but hope that nothing bad has happened to her. I know we all feel the same and I know she would care if something bad happened to us too. Whether we're fighting or not, she was one of my best friends, and I can't deny that. I still care for her and that's a simple fact.
