Chapter 7 - Guilty Secrets

1 WEEK LATER

I had been living with Russell for a week and things were going great so far! We really enjoyed eachovers company and he made my life a lot more fun.

I was currently upstairs in mine and Russell's bedroom on instagram. I was scrolling through my feed when I got a text.
It was from an unknown number. I opened the message which said: Meet me today at the coffee house at 12:00
That's weird, who would that be from? Maybe they got the wrong number.
I replied : Who is this? I think you have the wrong number
They responded: Its Cerys. I want to apologise and tell you something important - It's about Russell.
How the hell did she get my number? What is she up to? Should I see Her? No why would I do that? But if it's about Russell it might be important.....
I typed back "Okay" and locked my phone.

What do I tell Russell? Do I tell Him?
Just as I thought that, Russell entered the room and asked "Were you planning on doing anything today?"
"Yeah I'm going to see ... a friend for lunch"
"Okay I'm heading out to see Jon later"
We talked for a bit more and then he left. I felt bad for lying to Russell, but I guess it was for the best.
I looked at the time, 11:00. One hour to go.

I sat at a table alone in the cafe, thinking to myself - Maybe this is some kind of joke she's playing to annoy me. Just then Cerys entered the room and we caught eachovers eye. She strode over and sat down opposite me.
"Hi Y/N"
"Hi, what did you want?"
"Well firstly I wanted to apologise for the things I said about you. That was horrible of me."
"Okay" I said, raising an eyebrow, not completely sure whether she is serious.
"And also I have something that I thought I should tell you - but you can't tell Russell. I want to do that myself"
"It depends on what that is."
"You CANT Y/N. I'm serious"
"Why shouldn't I?"
"Because what I am about to tell you has a massive impact on both of our lives and Russell's"
"Go on"
"Right well .... I'm pregnant ..... and Russell's the dad."
I froze. Unable to speak or move.
"I take it this happened before I was with Russell"
"Really, that's the first thing you say! Of course it was"
"Well I don't exactly trust you"
"It sounds like you don't trust him"
I stopped. "Why are you telling me this"
"Well I needed to tell someone. And I'm not exactly ready to tell Russell."
"Are you sure it's Russell's."
"Definately"
"Well you did have a bit on the side Cerys"
"Funny"
"I feel like you're joking"
"Does this look like I'm joking?" She said as she stood up and gestured to her stomach. It was actually quite round. She sat down and pulled a positive pregnancy test out of her bag.
"Ok Jesus I believe You!"
"Do you now understand Y/N? I'm pregnant with your boyfriends baby!"

Millions of thoughts went round in my head. I just don't believe what's happened, it doesn't seem real. Well I know it is.
"What are we going to do?"
"I don't know. I'll have to tell Russell eventually and we'll just work it out from there. But you can't tell him Y/N, I need to tell him myself when I'm ready".
I didn't want to keep a secret like this from him, but Cerys seems serious. "Okay".
We said goodbye and I left the cafe. I walked slowly back to the house. Worries clouded my mind. What will this mean for me and Russell? Will he leave me? What if he falls in love with Cerys? I got home and plonked myself on the sofa, still overwhelmed with the Cerys' secret.

Russell came home a bit later and saw me on the sofa, probably looking worried. He asked "are you okay Y/N?"
"I'm fine, just a bit of a headache"
"Oh do you need anything?"
"I'm good, thanks".
I felt overwhelmed in guilt from all of the lies I had told Russell and all of the secrets I was keeping. This baby is sure going to change everything for the worst.

Cerys' POV

She believed me! Luckily I am pregnant, just not with Russell, with my 'bit on the side' as Y/N called it. My little scheme to win Russell back seems to be working, and I can't wait.
