Russells POV
The morning after our wedding night I woke up in an empty bed. Where was Y/N? The first morning of being married and I was alone! I got up and walked downstairs to see Y/N sat at the table, scribbling into a notebook.
"Mrs Howard what on earth are you doing here?" I asked in a silly posh voice. She slammed the book shut and turned round giggling a little.
"I couldn't sleep" She responded.
"Thanks! You just left me alone on our first morning as a married couple!"
"We're already arguing like one!" She laughed. "I didn't want to wake you up".
"Well what are you writing?"
"That's none of your business Mr Howard, now get ready, we're leaving soon".
I sighed and went back upstairs to start getting ready for the airport.***
We were nearly at the end of our 2.5 hour flight to Spain and Y/N was fast asleep, presumably because she hadn't slept the night before. I wondered what exactly she had been writing in that notebook. I'd seen her use it before to draw little sketches and pictures to pass the time or to write things down, but last night she seemed to be absorbed in what she was doing. The note book was currently on the table in front of her because she had been drawing during the flight. It would be rude to peek wouldn't it? I decided to ignore my morals and look anyway. I grabbed the book and turned carefully through all the pages. I had looked through it many times. Y/N was fantastic at art although she always said she was average and it was just for enjoyment. I looked through pages and pages of writing and drawings when I stumbled across one of the newest pages. This must have been the page she was working on this morning. I looked at it closely.
She had drawn an amazing bunch of different flowers on the right side going up the side of the page in blue pen. On the left she had wrote out 'Mrs Howard' several times in different fonts and styles.
Suddenly I felt a painful smack against my arm as the book was snatched out of my hand.
"Russell how many times have I told you to not look in my book?!"
"Y/N you're really good at drawing though! And that page was really sweet"
She slumped back in her chair, pretending that she was moody, even though I could see her holding back a grin. I smiled to myself as I sat back, waiting for us to land.***
A few hours later we had arrived in Spain, gone to the hotel and we were now sat down on some lounge chairs on the beach watching the sunset.
We weren't speaking, we didn't need to. We had eachovers company and that was enough. I felt like I was in paradise, lounging on a Spanish beach, watching the sunset next to the most wonderful wife I could ever ask for.
I turned to Y/N and my smile faded when I saw her eyes spilling with tears.
"Y/N are you okay?"
She took a few seconds to speak, her blank face turned to a smile as she turned to me and said, "I'm more than okay, I've never been happier! It's just so overwhelming to think that I'm married now, with the perfect husband. If someone had told me years ago that in the future I would be married to favourite comedian I would have told them that they were insane! I love you so much Russell."
"I love you too Y/N".A few minuites later after more silence she turned to me and said "R... Russ?" nervously.
"Yes?"
She took a deep breath and looked at me with a smile. With a slight laugh to her voice she said,"Russell ...... you're going to be a dad"
