I saw you today and as I walked passed you, you glanced at me and I could feel the cold in your eyes.
You had your bag out, you were looking through the pockets for something. You glanced up for a quick second and noticed I was going to pass you. You didn't change your expression, you just looked back down and smiled at her, you couldn't face me like a man.
It was like making eye contact with a stranger who is totally uninterested in you. I felt sick for hours after that, hours.
You laughed at something she said.
When you laughed, I remembered every reason I ever fell in love with you.
I thought I was doing better, but as soon as I saw you smile at her, all progress I made
disappeared.
Maybe in another world, you would have chosen me.
But not this world.
