Song: I'll Never Love Again by Lady Gaga
1 year later - Lyla
I throw on the dress that I bought from the store.
I stroke it's long silky waves and admire the lace top and sleeves.
The dress is very old fashioned, just like me.
"Are you ready??" Jazzy says, excitedly. I swear, she's more excited than me and she's not even the one walking down the aisle.
I take one last look at my makeup and my dress and my hair and take a deep breath.
"Yeah," I say, finally. "I'm ready."
Jazzy smiles. She looks radiant in her light blue and white lace bridesmaid dress. "Let's go then."
She walks me out and we get into the limo. She lifts up my dress and I slide inside, careful not to damage the dress.
I glance out the window and watch the cars go by, and I think about how I got here. I glance at the piece of paper in my hands and I smile to myself.
We reach the church and I look out to see the rest of my bridesmaids here and in their solid light blue dresses.
Jazzy grabs my hand. "Let's do this, Ly."
I smile and she helps me get out of the car. I grab my bouquet and I begin to walk towards the church.
Jazzy smiles at me. "You look beautiful, Lyla. I'll see you inside with you know who."
I nod and hug her. "Thank you so much, Jazz. You don't even know how much it means to me."
"Hey, that's what sisters are for." And with that, she leaves and goes inside.
I hear the Bridal March start to play and I take another deep breath and try to focus.
My dad comes along and he nearly cries when he sees me.
"I can't believe my baby is getting married. And to GRAYSON CARTER of all people." He says, sniffing.
"Dad." I say, laughing. I wrap my hand around his arm and face the doors.
The doors open and I'm faced with the faces of all of our friends and family.
I begin to walk down the aisle toward my future, to my life, to my everything.
To Grayson Carter, the boy I've always loved.
