It was a few more days until Spring comes and the Winter Spirit was having his fun, causing trouble and making winter last until Easter. His name was Jack Frost. He started a snowball fight between Jamie Bennett and his friends.

"Who needs more ammo?" he laughed, creating more snowballs on the ground with his staff. The children laughed as they ran around, sending those snowballs flying at each other. Winter was a time for fun and games; something Jack himself liked.

A snowball flew towards Jamie. He used his sled to shield himself from it and ended up stumbling backwards, falling over a snowman they made. The snowball missed him and hit someone else; namely the feared Cupcake. She turned around, furious.

"Crud! I hit Cupcake...!" "She hit Cupcake!" "You hit Cupcake?" Jamie's friends panicked, including him. He laid down in the snow, trying to shield himself using his sled. As if that would help. She inched closer, holding an angry snowman head. She looked like she was about to blow a fuse when all of a sudden...

... a snowball flew right at her face! Cupcake squinted with the impact and walked a step backwards.

"Did you throw that?" "No." "It wasn't me." Jamie's friends backed away even more.

The snowball was actually one of Jack Frost's 'magic snowballs'. Once he throws it at someone, they are bound to know how to have fun.

As Cupcake's eyes fluttered open, blue sparks few and Cupcake started to laugh. Soon, she started playing with Jamie and his friends, chasing them around with her snowman head. Jamie was in the lead when Jack flew past him, creating an ice path. "Oh, a little slippery!" he said.

"Whoa!" Jamie exclaimed.

Jack continued the ice path, causing Jamie to fall on his sled which was on the ice path. Thus, he slid to wherever the path went... and it went to the streets.

"That's the street!" one of his friends called out.

"Stop! There's traffic!" another one yelled.

Jack flew right next to Jamie, aiding him as he slid down the path. "Whoa! Don't worry, Jamie. I got you. Hold on!"

Meanwhile, in a distant land when winter had recently ended, a young girl has just begun her daily routine.

7:00 a.m.

She started on her chores, sweeping until the floor was all clean. She mopped, polished and waxed the floors, did the laundry, then dusted some of the furniture. She swept again and by then, it was 7:15.

She then decided to read a book; one about botany, another about geology and one more about cooking. After, she added a new painting on her walls. She then played her guitar, knitted and made a delicious pie. She saw a blank space above her chimney, covered by what seemed to be an unused door and curtains. She opened her little 'art kit' with paint and paintbrushes. She moved away the 'door' and started painting.

After lunch, she did more things like puzzles, darts, baking cookies, paper mach茅, a bit of ballet, chess, pottery, ventriloquy, candle-making, stretching, sketching on her walls, climbing on her hair and sewn a little dress that looked identical to hers for her chameleon friend, Pascal.

She then reread the books, this time with less interest. She would paint some more... if she could find more space. And then, she would brush, brush and brush her hair.

Rapunzel has always been stuck in the same place she has always been. This was all she had done her entire life now. She knew that staying in the tower was for 'her own good', but she just could not help but wonder; when would her life begin? She looked out her window, the only entrance to her tower. The view here was the farthest she could see into the outside world. But she wanted to see more of it.

Rapunzel wanted to explore the world. She wanted to see the plants and animals she read about in real life. She wanted to see if the dragons in her fairy tale books were real. She wanted to meet a real princess if given the chance. And most of all, she wanted to meet or at least see the Winter Spirit, Jack Frost.

She believed in him, see. Always have. She believed that he was the one who made it snow and made winter so much fun.

Rapunzel wanted to do all these things and more. Today was the day before her eighteenth birthday and the day before the 'floating lights' arrive. Today was also the day when she promised herself that she will ask her mother if she could go and see the lights. Even for just that special day.

Which was why as soon as Rapunzel heard her mother's voice calling for her from the foot of the tower, she became very excited and nervous. Rapunzel will ask her, even if she knew that her mother may not allow her no matter what.

Jamie Bennett’s little set of 'sled stunts' came to a close as he and his sled fell into a pile of snow near a statue. His friends approached him with worry, but he just stood up, probably a little tipsy from the fall, and happily told them what he has done. That was until a sofa came in, sliding and crashing at him.

"Whoops," Jack squinted as if he felt his pain.

Jamie's friends walked closer towards him to check if he was fine. Jamie raised one of his hands, holding one of his teeth that fell out in the crash. "Cool! A tooth!" he said in joy.

"Dude, that means cash!" "Tooth Fairy cash!" "You lucky bum!" his friends walked in closer, surrounding Jamie, to get a look at the tooth.

"Oh no..." Jack sighed as he watched them from the statue.

"I got to put this under my pillow!" Jamie cheered as he and his friends walked away.

"Oh, wait a minute. Come on. Hold on, hold on!" Jack shouted, desperately trying to get their attention, "What about all the fun we just had? That wasn't the Tooth Fairy. That was me!"

He flew, supposedly blocking their way. "What's a guy got to do to get a little attention around here?" Jack said, as if they could hear him. But like everyone, for the past 300 years, they passed through him.

He sighed quietly, rolled his eyes and walked away. The clouds darkened and snow slowly started to fall. "Take me someplace else, Wind," he muttered, getting carried off by the wind.

Rapunzel sat on her bed, on the verge of tears. She was hurtfully rejected her mother, shouting that Rapunzel will never leave the tower. Ever. Rapunzel looked to Pascal as he laid down by her skirt, changing his color to blue, signifying that both of them were saddened by the event.

She lied down on her bed hopelessly, trying to get some sleep.

Jack arrived in front of a stone cottage in a lush forest. He looked around and decided to head east, deeper into the forest. He kept on walking and walking for what felt like an hour. Then, he noticed a wall covered with vines. Behind the vines is actually an entrance. Curiously, Jack walked into the dark tunnel. As he spotted the exit, he ran for it.

There, he saw a tall tower with no doors.

Jack decided to fly up there and see if he could get in or at least see what was on the inside. He found a window, but it was closed. He looked around the tower and found a hole on the roof that was letting the light in. He peaked in there and he saw a girl, lying on her bed.

She looked like she was about to cry. Jack thought that maybe he should do something about it even if he knew that it may not make her see him. Thus, he did the one he knew to cheer people up; he made it snow in the room. Frost crawled on the walls and the snow piled up in the corners of the room.

Rapunzel looked around her. Was it really snowing in her room? Or was this all but a dream? With that thought, she looked up and saw... someone.

A boy with snow white hair, a frost-covered staff and a blue hoodie was smiling down at her. Could it be? She couldn’t believe her eyes.

“... Jack Frost?” she called out. It caught him in surprise. She could see him?
