The gigantic dragon roared. It breathed fire on the ships. The vikings jumped overboard and swam to shore.

Merida, on the other hand, struggled to get out of the now burning ship she was in.

"Why did I ever think this was a good idea...?" Merida muttered to herself. She took her bow and quiver, went out of her hiding spot, to the deck and jumped into the water.

As soon as Merida got to shore, the first thing that greeted hea was her shocked father. "... Merida!? What are ye doing 'ere!? It's too dangerous," Fergus exclaimed.

"I'm fine, Dad. I came here t--" Merida paused as they heard a familiar cry. Soon, a blast of blue fire hit the side of the gargantuan dragon's face.

Turns out, Hiccup was riding a Deadly Nadder alongside Astrid. He was barking orders at the other viking recruits... also on dragons.

Everyone was surprised, watching them with wide, unbelieving eyes.

"Every bit a stubborn Viking as you ever were," Gobber said to Stoick, who nodded back at him.

"Fishlegs! Give me stats!" Hiccup ordered as they flew around the dazed giant.

"It's known as the Red Death. Has six eyes. Feet built for crushing. Relies on hearing and smell," Fishlegs responded.

"Alright," Hiccup nodded, "Fishlegs! Snotlout! Look for its blindspot. Ruff! Tuff! Find out its shot limit. Make it mad," he stated.

While in the air, Hiccup found the ever familiar redhead. With a sharp turn, quickly landed near her.

"I told you to stay out of this!" Hiccup scolded.

"And I told you I wanted to help!" Merida retorted, raising her voice.

"You can't. You'll only get killed," Hiccup readied to fly again, "Have you seen Toothless?"

Merida did not reply, looking away with her arms crossed.

Hiccup groaned. "Over there!" Astrid called out, pointing at a burning ship.

Hiccup looked at that general direction and caught sight of Toothless struggling to get out of the chains he was in.

Hiccup gave one last glance at Merida before flying off right above the ship's deck. He jumped off the Nadder and landed on his feet. "Go help the others," he told Astrid. She nodded in understanding and left.

"Let's get you out of this, bud," Hiccup whispered reassuringly to Toothless.

Ruffnut and Tuffnut were doing their specialty; being annoying. They threw random insults and some mocking gestures at the Red Death. They succeeded in angering it, almost making them catch fire.

Snotlout and Fishlegs were not exactly successful. "I don't think it has a blind spot!" Fishlegs called out.

They started hitting their shields with weapons in an effort to daze the Red Death. It worked on the dragon, but it also worked on their own Gronckle and Nightmare.

Hookfang threw his rider off, on to the Red Death's face, and flew away. Meatlug started spinning in circles, so Fishlegs threw his hammer to Snotlout. "It's all on you!" Fishlegs shouted as his Gronckle spun and they crashed into the gravel.

"What's wrong, big guy?" Snotlout mocked as he slammed the hammer on one of the dragon's four eyes, "Got something on your eye?"

Astrid flew by and decided to encourage the struggling one. "Yeah! You're the Viking!" She cheered as she flew off again.
