"Clan Dingwall!" Fergus announced. The clans cheered, especially Clan Dingwall itself. They were going wild.

"Wait, what?" Gobber muttered under his breath.

"What?" Stoick asked his trusted friend.

"I-it's nothing to worry about," Gobber stammered while Stoick shifted his focus back on the arena.

Lord Dingwall only said a few words and Wee Dingwall. Literally. He only said, "Good luck, son,"

And Wee Dingwall was in the arena. He took a shield and a sword. The doors opened to reveal a Gronckle fly about. Dingwall gulped as he tried to attack it, or at least scare it, with the sword. However, it was heavier than the usual swords they had back at home, causing him to keep dropping the sword.

Little did he know that the light from the sun reflected from the blade attracted the dragon. The Gronckle followed the single speck of light until it went back into the den. The doors closed and everyone was quiet in disbelief.

Did he just trap that dragon? They all thought.

"Now, that was just grand now, isn't it? Guess who's coming to dinner?" Fergus joked.

"Fergus,"

"Dad,"

Elinor and Merida said respectively in unison.

"What?" Fergus turned to his daughter, "Do you mind being called Lady Ding--" he noticed her daughter pointing at somewhere.

Her gesture lead him to Stoick. "Oh, right," Fergus scratched the back of his. Wee Dingwall exited the ring, leaving Hiccup nervous. He was up next.

"Berk!!" Fergus announced.

With that, Stoick stood and the Berkians cheered loudly like the Vikings they were.

"So... if someone told me that Hiccup went from being, well, Hiccup..." this gained a few laughter from the sidelines, "... to placing first in Dragon Training and possibly winning the hand of the princess in marriage? Well, I would have tied him to a mast and shipped him off for fear he'd gone mad!"

Loud cheering was emitted from the Vikings. "But nobody is more surprised," Stoick continued, "Or more proud than I am. Today, he becomes a Viking. Today, he becomes one of us!" And the cheers and shouts ensued.

Proud.

It was the one word that was retained in Hiccup's mind. For the first time in forever, his father was proud of him. Now, he was scared of failing and disappointing his father.

"Don't get killed out there," Astrid suddenly approached Hiccup from behind.

"I'll try. But if anything goes wrong, make sure they don't find Toothless," Hiccup said calmly as if there was no problem.

"I will," Astrid nodded, "But promise me it won't go wrong,"

Before Hiccup could say a thing, Gobber called on Astrid, maybe to run an errand for him alongside the other Viking recruits. Astrid gave Hiccup a nod before she ran off. Hiccup took a breathe in and a breathe out before entering the ring and putting on his helmet.

The entire audience cheered. Merida, on the other hand, merely clapped as much as she wanted to jump up and down and shout and scream. She had to 'remain poised'. Also, she was very worried. She couldn't be happy at this time.

Hiccup picked up a shield and took a small knife. He breathed in and out again to calm himself. "Ready," he said firmly.

Gobber gulped as he unlocked the doors. Suddenly, a flaming beast bursted out of the doors. The Monstrous Nightmare. Only the best Vikings went after those.
