Chapter 6

---------------JAI'S POV-----------------


I lay in my bed that night tossing and turning. I couldn't get that kiss out oft head. I could still feel her lips burning onto mine and the electricity dancing through me when our skin came in contact. I smiled. The kiss was so perfect, I've never felt this way before. It's like I've finally found the jigsaw puzzle piece that's been missing in my life.. I felt lucky.

I lay on my bed a while longer before kicking off my bedcovers and pulling on a pair of trakkies and a tank top. I had to see Leah again, it was like I was having withdrawal symptoms or something. I tiptoed downstairs and was about to head out the front door when the light flicked on. I turned around surprised. Luke was sitting at the kitchen table with a half eaten sandwich in his hand.

"Where are you off to?" He asked me. "It's like 3am bro!"

I shrugged. "Going for a walk," I replied nonchalantly. "Why are you up so late?"

"Don't try change the subject, you're gonna see Leah, aren't you" Luke smiled mischievously.

"So what if I was?" I got defensive. Luke laughed and leaned back in his chair.

"I don't care bro, I've seen the connection between you two. It's pretty heavy!"

I shrugged and started backing my way towards the door.

"Don't tell mum, ok? She'll freak at me sneaking out."

"I got you bro, have fun."

I shut the door behind me and jogged lightly around the corner and up the driveway that led to Leah's house. I circled the house, trying to figure out how I could get in as her front door was locked when I saw her bedroom light was still on. I started to climb up a tree that was growing next to the house and started to edge my way on the beach towards her window. I glanced up and saw her sitting on her bed. She was holding a guitar in her hands and she was singing. I stopped and listened, her voice carrying out through the open window.

Her fingers strummed the guitar gently and her face looked so serene as she sang Nialls part.

She opened her eyes and I could see they were brimming with tears. He'll mine were as well, that song hits deep. I knocked on the window frame and she looked up startled.

"Jai?"

I smiled at her, taking in every detail of her face. "Hey there, I couldn't sleep."

"Me neither. You gonna come in or...?"

I jumped in and walked across to where she was sitting and sat down beside her.

"Your voice is amazing, you know that right?"

She blushed and looked away, putting the guitar on the ground. "Nah, it's average, I can barely hold a note."

I brushed back a stray hair that had fallen forward onto her face and looked her in the eye. "Trust me, your voice is amazing"

We stared at each other for a few seconds before I started to lean in. I kissed her full lips gently and waited for her to kiss me back. She did so and our lips moved in sync.

We pulled away and she leaned her forehead on mine with her eyes closed. I started humming Little Things to her again and she smiled, gently rocking from side to side. She laughed when I tried to hit a high note and failed miserably and opened her eyes.

"Come on, its a full moon tonight."

She grabbed my hand and led me out onto the balcony. The moon was so high in the sky and it illuminated everything in sight. I turned to her and found her already looking at me.

"What? Is there something on my face?"

She smiled and stepped closer to me.

"Nothing.. Just taking you in."

She wrapped her arms around me and rested her head on my chest under my chin. I kissed her head and looked out at view again. Life was perfect for me.

After I while I led her back inside and we lay down on the bed. We were facing each other and I kept leaning in and kissing her.

"None of us are gonna sleep if you keep doing that," she commented cheekily after the billionth kiss. I laughed.

"Sorry baby, go to sleep. Who knows I might even cook you breakfast tomorrow"

She closed her eyes and smiled. She cuddled in closer to me and sighed.

"Night Jai."

I love this girl. Holy fuck I love her.
