"Tina, I aint cross. I just want a name" Merle tried to reason with Tina who huddled her legs up to her chest and faced the other way. "Leave her man, leave her be" Daryl finally spoke, clearing his throat, Merle stood up and edge closer to him "i wanna know who it was. Teenie could of died" he snapped in his face causing Daryl to back up "good job i came back when i did, if you aint gonna do anything! Werent you supposed to be looking out for her?!" spoke angrily brushing past Daryl as he left the cell. Daryl peered round the doorway to make sure no one was around before rushing to Tina's side "im so sorry." He whispered squeezing her hand and kissing her forehead "i didnt know" he added, wiping a tear from her eye "me neither" she muttered "what the fuck are we going to do? Merle will never leave this be" she began to sob, Daryl pulled her into his chest as she gripped onto him like her life depended on it, the risk of their secret near approaching being revealed "i'll try and calm Merle down" Daryl spoke, pushing herself out of his arms "he wont let this go! He is going to look at all the guys here! Rick, Glenn? Its pretty clear its not them" Tina whined through tears holding a hand to her forehead in disbelief. Daryl sighed and lent his head on his hand as he looked at her. "Get some sleep, i'll be right here" he whispered. Not that Tina was going to sleep much.

When Hershel finally told her she was well enough to leave she was pleased to get out of the confines of that cell but she faced eyes looking at her all wondering who the father was, it was pretty obvious with the lack of men around they were not going to leave this and let it lie. Something happened to Tina as far as they were concerned and they were worried for her.

Walking into the dining area it was clear everyone stopped talking when she walked in, "Tina we need to talk" Merle spat as he stood up from a bench. " "maybe now isnt the best time" Hershel spoke standing up to Merle, he muttered a curse word and sat back down. Tina sat down feeling rather awkward and could feel her cheeks flushing red. As she took a mouthful of food she had to break the awkward silence, quick thinking she opened her mouth "it was Oscar...we had a thing" "who the fuck is that?!" Merle snapped sarcastically. Daryl bowed his head as she spoke, everyone looked as if they believed her "it was a..one night thing" Tina added sighing, placing her fork down, as Merle scoffed at her words, before he could say anything Tina stood up "So you can all stop gossiping!" She snapped before pushing her plate away and storming past Daryl and out onto the field.

"Tina!!" Merle yelled following behind her but she kept walking, grabbing her arm he yanked her back "get off me!" She yelled back pulling her arm from his grasp "i thought you knew better than that?" Merle spoke to which Tina rolled her eyes."because i had great models with you, your dad and mom!" She said with sarcasm cutting her eyes at him "you didnt even know the guy T" Merle said softly, he would only show this side to Tina, he sounded disappointed with her "you are meant to be the good Dixon" he added smirking. "Does it matter what i am now? The world is over, rules and everything gone with it." Tina said justifying out loud and in her mind what her and Daryl were doing behind everyone's back.
"I forgot you aint the kid i once knew" he replied twitching his lip, "a lot has changed since then" she quipped "what?" He replied quickly to her comment, realising what she said Tina backed away "oh nothing" she replied with a fake smile.

Sitting down by the front fence, she sighed at the silence, there were no walkers for a change, they usually congregated at the fences desperate to get in and have a field day with the group. It was a nice silence, although she could feel the presence of someone lurking behind her "are you okay sweetheart?" Daryl asked in his husky voice, his words and nickname for her made her heart melt. "No" she replied patting the grass for him to sit down. "Are you still in pain?" He asked worried, taking her hand in his, Tina shook her head to reassure him "no its not that, its this. Us. If we were a couple no one would bat an eye lid at what happened, it happens in life i get it. But with us, its like no one, including Merle would of let this one go, and why? Because they all think im not with anyone, not skulking off with you at night" Tina spoke bitterly, Daryl rested his arms on his knees and looked back at the prison and then to her "so what are you saying?" He asked, Pursing her lips together she exhaled fed up "we cant be together Daryl. I cant cuddle you at night like Maggie does with Glenn, I cant kiss you whenever I want, I cant tell you I love you and that being apart from you makes my heart break, I cant tell you that losing a baby made me think we could have another one one day, Because we cant, and even more so now Merle is back, he is just a reminder everyday." She said as tears fell down her cheeks. Kissing him on the cheek she stood up "Im sorry Daryl" she said and walked away.
