"You wont do that" Tina quipped rolling over to face him. "Oh yea? And whys that?" He asked, his voice breaking in response "do i really need to do this again?" She asked sarcastically crossing her arms as she sat up in bed. Daryl let out a flat laugh and looked to their daughter and then to Tina and stepped closer towards them "T when this shit started I had $3 in my pocket, i have absolutely nothing to offer you, This isnt a life I want for you and her" "do you think I wanted this too? I wanted to get married and have a nice house and that but i get dealt this and you know what? I wouldnt have it any other way but its me and her not me, her and you" Tina stated standing up from the bed "so you dont want me around?" Daryl asked as his facial expression became angrier "so we tell everyone and you are going to accept their opinions on it? You were the one that looked sickened that we had sex the first time so what you going to do if they react the same? I cant do this if you are you going to bail on us" Tina replied wiping tears from her eyes "i cant do this alone, but i cant be hurt by you anymore, its just normal now for me, we sleep together, you leave and now we have to deal with the consequences" Tina snapped rolling her tongue in the side of her mouth trying to hold her own and failing terribly. "She is a consequence then?!" Daryl yell whispered pointing to their little bundle "like you said you have nothing to offer me, in a parallel universe id be on welfare as a single mom!" Tina argued back as Daryl stood away from her, biting his lip and nodding he simply said "i get the hint" and left.

"And so it begins baby girl" Tina sighed stroking her sleeping baby's head gently.

She wanted Daryl, she really did, but she had lay her heart out for him too many times.

As she picked up her daughter to change her and feed her Daryl came back in, they shared a saddened look with eachother.

"Tina I wanna be with you, I cant be away from either of you, walking out just then pained me, its us three now forever" Daryl spoke somewhat nervously.

Tina carried their daughter over to him and lent up to kiss him on the lips, her stomach filling with butterflies as she did, he gently cradled the back of her head with his hand as he deepened their moment.

Breaking away she handed him the baby.
"We still need a name for her" she whispered looking into his sapphire blue eyes intently "I like Poppy." She suggested, Daryl seemed to like the name judging by his smile "Poppy it is." He replied.

"Stay in here with us tonight" Tina said pleadingly as she helped Daryl place Poppy back in her moses basket and rearranged the pillows on her bed for him to join her.

Lifting his arm up above the pillow he allowed Tina to nestle into his chest and it wasnt long before she fell asleep and for a long time with a smile on her face.

When Tina was allowed to leave the small hospital wing the following afternoon ,she was congratulated in the streets of Alexandria by the group and other residents including a guilty looking Nicholas who Daryl glared at.

"I'll let you settle in at home before coming in for a cuddle" Deanna said smiling looking lovingly at baby Poppy.

Daryl held the door open for Tina as she entered their home, this home had been filled with nothing but tension since they arrived but now it was going to be filled with love and happiness like they promised eachother.

A plate of warm cookies sat on the table with a small note from Carol which Daryl practically scoffed down before noticing Tina looking at him with a raised eyebrow and handing her the last half of cookie left "sorry, i was starving" Daryl said causing Tina to shake her head at him and laugh. "Asshole" she whispered teasingly. "You keep calling me that" Daryl joked stepping closer to her "well stop being one then" she quipped playfully back bending down to tuck Poppy in. Taking Tina's hand he pulled her closer to him and pushed the hair from her face, leaning down to her lips he lifted her chin slightly with his other hand and kissed her. Tina placed her arms around his neck as locked into the kiss allowing her tongue to slowly explore his mouth ever so gently.

They didnt hear the door open and were caught off guard by Deanna's words "im sorry? Is this a bad time?" She asked confused looking at the pair as they stepped away from their embrace, Daryl cleared his throat nervously but entwined his fingers between Tina's as they stood staring at Deanna "um, its not what you think" Tina spoke with dry mouth. "Before you say anything we are not related so its not like that" Tina said slightly rambling ,squeezing Daryl's hand tighter.

"Is she yours Daryl?" Deanna asked quietly referring to Poppy, he nodded "yea" he replied, Deanna let out a small nervous laugh "I feel like I should of been kept in the loop on this one" she replied sternly causing Tina to look confused at Daryl who seemed to keeping his stance at Deanna "why wasnt i informed?" She demanded changing her tone slightly. Daryl let go of Tina and stepped towards Deanna "its no ones business but ours so if you dont mind.." He snapped pointing to the doorway Deanna was standing in, Tina felt her heart beating a mile a minute "we can talk about this another time" Tina quickly responded trying to stifle  the atmosphere that was forming "nah to hell with that! You gotta problem you can say it now, me and T are together and have been a long time we aint siblings, she may be a Dixon but thats through marriage" Daryl seethed at Deanna, she looked to Tina who smiled weakly, tiredness of motherhood taking its toll on her already. "This is my town, my rules, i told you all to be honest with me on arrival or i'd refuse entry, no one just turns up here, we recruit who we have in this town before inviting them in, this is something I should of been made aware of, we here are under the impression you are brother and sister, how will this look that there has been a secret like this all along?" Deanna explained in a serious tone which Daryl rolled his eyes at as Tina felt worry wave over her at Deanna's words.

Daryl shook his head impatiently and paced the living room before speaking "if anyone has a problem with it we will be out of your hair"

"Well that will be the case then for your entire group" Deanna replied raising her voice slightly before closing the door behind her.
