Confessions

Puffing out air fed up, Tina pushed herself from the sofa and headed upstairs, another day of reading was much more enticing than one worded grunts from Daryl. Trudging up the stairs she could hear Daryl thudding about in his room, Tina tried to get into her room as quick as she could without him seeing her "Rick wants to speak to you later" Daryl said bluntly before closing his door. "Cool" Tina whispered to herself sarcastically before closing her door, albeit really hard and loud as she let her frustration out.

Undressing into something 'outside Tina' would wear she moaned in impatience at the fact that nothing fit her. "Think Tina think" she muttered to herself as she scoured through her wardrobe trying to find something no one will question her in. Settling on an some stretchy leggings and an off the shoulder top that was always slightly baggy on her, she splashed some water on her face and tied her hair in a bun before checking herself in the mirror and if her bump was obvious, maybe if she sat with her arms folded no one would work it out? Here's hoping she thought.

It was quiet from Daryl's room so Tina thought now was the best time to avoid him and head to meet Rick. She had barely stepped from her front porch the last few weeks, the residents assumed she was an agrophobic most likely.

"T! Over here!" Rick called to her from the street, walking over to him he looked pleased to see her and pulled her in for a friendly hug, he noticed her bump "Tina are you?" He asked concerned, Tina breezed him off "so what did you want to see me about? Just im snowed under in there" she sarcastically said pointing to her house. "Tina..are you pregnant?" Rick asked seriously, Tina laughed him off "Rick is this all you needed me for?" She replied beginning to laugh nervously and edging back to the house, this was too much for her she needed to get back inside. "Tina" Rick yell whispered trying to call her back whilst not attracting attention from the other residents. Walking back inside she spotted Carol on her own porch shaking her head slowly at her, yes it would of been easy to say she was but she had managed so long keeping it to herself.

Opening the door she blew out in relief when she shut the door behind her. Daryl paced down the stairs "see ya" he grunted as he swung it open nudging her in the back with the door as he exited. "Asshole" she muttered.

Sitting down to eat Tina got lost in her thoughts, Carol was right she should see the doctor soon, make sure everything is ticking along nicely. She rolled her eyes when the door came bounding open and Daryl stormed inside yelling to her from the hallway "Tina! Get ya ass out here!" Rolling her eyes again she ignored him and placed her plate in the sink "what?" She finally replied. "I need to ask you something" he asked softly leaning on the kitchen counter "and i want you to be honest with me" he added, Tina bit her nail anxiously as she waited for his question, carefully positioning herself behind the counter so her stomach was concealed. "Are you pregnant?" He asked, genuine worry expressed in his voice. Tina let out a sarcastic laugh "no!" She answered quickly cutting eye contact with him. "I think you are" he responded walking around to where she was "thanks Daryl, make a girl feel special" she tried to brush past him and walk away but he grabbed her arm "Tina please" she sighed, it was clear his patience was wearing thin. "Tina please what?" She laughed in his face as she wrangled out of his grip and headed up stairs, Daryl close behind her yanking her arm as she paced towards her bedroom "Why are you doing this?" He snapped getting closer to her face. Tina pushed him off her "so what if i am? What the hell is it to you?" Tina snapped not taking her glare from Daryl "you were in denial about us, so in doing the same with this, except this wont go away" she quipped blinking to avoid tears falling from her face. Daryl stepped back from her, he was choking back upset "why didnt you tell me?" He asked taking her hand gently, Tina almost melted into him there and then "you didnt wanna know me" she confessed saddened  "and i didnt know for a while, it took me a while to work out i was" she replied admitting her naivety, Daryl ran a hand over his face and looked to Tina, the girl he had wronged in so many ways, he knew he had lead her on in ways when it came to their relationship but he was more scared of getting attached and losing her more than anything else, in his own stupidity he had felt pushing her away was the best solution but it wasnt, he knew that but he was too stubborn to admit it. It was only when Rick asked him if Tina was pregnant did he quickly put two and two together, why she would hide away, why she was wearing baggy clothes and why she would never let him see her from the front. "You could of told me, you know that right. No matter what happens with us you can always come to me." He promised "Daryl you wanted nothing to do with me, you avoided me so i thought best to keep it to myself and it has worked so far" Tina responded sounding defeated. "Come" she whispered and headed for her bedroom and sat on the bed ushering him to join her. "Wanna feel?" She smiled taking his hand and placing it on her stomach where he quickly felt a kick to his hand, Tina smiled widely at his smile, it had been a long time since she had seen it. It was almost too easy to forget all that had happened and wrap back in his arms but she had to be strong for herself and her heart, Daryl is the love of her life, but she has been burnt too many times.

"I need to see the doctor to make sure everything is okay" Tina mentioned as Daryl moved his hand and lent in to kiss her, she turned her face and allowed him to kiss her on the cheek, Daryl gave her an accepting nod. "Do you want me there?" He asked.
